Nice hotel beach a little bit rocky definetely no 5 start althought I paid like it was they book a lot of groups so it was a bit crowded, 2 very small pools one restricted to adults only only option for breakfast was the buffet and big lime to get in not enought plates dinner much better since they have 5 different restaurants some a la carte with no reservation.,the Mexican has the best guacamole

The staff were so helpful and truly wanted to please their guests. All smiles no matter what their tasks were day or night. We felt we were a treasured guest. Food was exceptional

Not As Advertised - NOT 4 Stars

Pros: The kids club was the only thing 4 star about this hotel and those girls work HARD. Be sure to tip them well.
Cons: Customer service, refund policy. With every company, things will go wrong. I don't expect perfect, but there was no effort along the way to correct.
Location: We left to Sayulita and it was night and day. The people and town were so lovely and if I ever come back, it will be to Sayulita.
I was booked until the 6th of May, but checked out 3 days early. Upon arrival, I was confidently told that this would not be my last time here -- I can confidently say that he was wrong. I am a single mother, on a single income, and this was my first family vacation with my daughter. This was her first trip out of the US so I made sure to read the reviews and spend wisely. I thought I hit the jackpot. It was an affordable "4 star" resort. The food had great reviews as well! The food was not edible at times, room service completely forgot my daughter's meal once, there was mildew in the jets of the tub, the paint was peeling from the walls outside, the sofa in the room was torn up and it was clear that the room wasn't being clean thoroughly. I called to have my laundry picked up ahead of time and they completely forgot to come. I called again and they still didn't come. Finally, I cancelled and just decided that I was over the resort experience. Now I'm not a resort traveler. I don't need to be at a 4 star hotel, but this is what they advertise. This is the experience I paid for. I checked out, wasn't asked why I was checking out early beyond what I had already expressed. Travelocity is still attempting to get a refund for the remaining days, but they've been giving them a runaround. We thoroughly enjoyed Sayulita for the remainder of our stay, an authentic Mexico experience with fabulous hospitality and genuine connections made along the way (casalovesayulita!)

Beautiful locale, sub-par resort.

We stayed at The Royal Suites/adult-only section of the resort. We actually reserved the Palladium but were graciously offered an upgrade upon check-in for $60 USD/night. A great deal as the Royal Suites section was decidedly less crowded. This hotel sits in a beautiful setting. The Ocean is gentle and warm and the beaches well-maintained. The pools are inviting and offer fantastic views of the ocean. The grounds are well-maintained and there is a lush botanical garden in the center of the hotel. There is a wide beach for swimming. Surfboards, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and canoes are lent out as part of the all-inclusive experience. The spa is a lovely facility and the gym a great touch, and convenient. The spa has its own private pool with waterfalls, a hot jacuzzi, a cold jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and lockers. The massages were mixed. Kuka was fantastic, while Yolanda was skilled but rushed. Make sure to check out the resort barbecue - plus, plus, plus! All of these are plusses! Ok now the minuses, there are many: The food is extremely mediocre and at times barely edible. Special requests are often ignored and we had to ask for preparations to be re-done on several occasions. The restaurant that is exclusive to the Royal Suites was inconsistent. Our first day there the lunch was barely edible. We were served shrimp that tasted about 10 days old, which scared us from eating there for the rest of the trip.
