This remodeled 2400 sq ft home offers an array entertainment options nearby and in the home. It’s in a quiet residential area close downtown Durham, Duke, and Chapel Hill.

Enjoy Durham Bulls or college sports, art galleries, broadway shows, live music, a plethora of restaurants, hiking & biking trails, gardens, etc!

Staying home also offers many options inc.: 4 outdoor spaces to lounge, 3 TVs, fire pit, gas grill and hammocks.

The space
This split level home was recently remodeled and interior designers consulted to make this a unique memorable space. The home is filled with thoughtful touches, including original artwork mostly from local artists, plants, luxury linens, smart home lighting features, and Sonos sound system that can be paired with your phone.

In addition to the open concept den and dining kitchen, the upper level features a large furnished screened in porch, an open deck with a table and grill, and a gazebo with another table/seating area. Enjoy coffee, a glass of wine, or meals indoors or out.

The lower level features hammock chairs, a hammock, and a covered porch with another seating area and bistro set.

The lower level has a unique, 400 sq foot room designed to enjoy watching movies, playing games at the table, enjoying music on the keyboard or Sonos speakers, or posing for your best Insta pic by the custom neon and “greenery” wall. Some exercise equipment is available in the closet by the den (free weights)

Main bedroom has a king size tempur pedic mattress, with a portion of a wall in closet available for you to use. There is also an en-suite bathroom with dual vanities and large shower.

The 2nd bedroom is downstairs and features a queen bed, closet, and several drawers.

The 3rd BR/office has a new fold-out bed and a desk. THIS ROOM IS AVAILABLE ON REQUEST if you need a separate office with door or an extra bed. If not requested, it will be closed.

The kitchen and laundry room have newer appliances (stove is electric though, not gas). The gas fire pit and gas grill are new, but NOTE that both are to be used at your own risk (please pull grill away from house if used.).

NOTE - there are wire railings by the stairs, so please consider if you have children in your party. If there is something you think you'll need to accommodate anyone staying with you, let me know. I'm happy to do what it takes to make this a safe and comfortable home for you.
Guest access
Guests have access to whole house except for home office, which can be made available with prior arrangement from host if you need a foldout bed or a separate office with a door. The separate garage is not accessible.
Other things to note
This is a split level home, so stairs are not optional.

You will be provided with a unique passcode for the door locks to come and go without a key.

This is a residential area, quiet hours are after 9 on weekdays and 10 pm on weekends so please observe these, especially in outdoor spaces.

If you have pet allergies - We do have a dog (who won’t be here of course). We have the home professionally cleaned prior to your arrival, but severe allergies may not be tricked.

If you break something like a dish or glass, that means you are human. It's NO BIG DEAL, and you will not be charged for a broken dish or two. Please just let us know, so we can ask cleaners to take extra measure to clean up glass, etc.
