I am submitting a formal complaint regarding my recent stay. I selected this property based on the hostâs repeated assurance that two of the bedrooms had televisions. I did not discover until check-in that this was not true. When I raised the issue and asked about compensation, the host dismissed it as a misunderstanding.During the stay, a sheriff arrived to serve court documents to the homeowner, which was disturbing and required me to explain that I was not the owner. Additionally, the fireplace stopped working, and the downstairs HVAC would not heat above 70 degrees during a cold week. A technician was sent but was not informed about the fireplace and instead performed unrelated repairs in the garage, using excessive WD-40, which caused a strong odor throughout the house for over a day.Overall, the stay involved misrepresentation, unresolved maintenance issues, and an uncomfortable legal situation. This experience was disappointing and warrant review. Didnât realize till near the end of my stay that I think this homeowner uses a 3rd party service to managed the hosting for this property. Which explains the quality of the customer service.
