Avis pour Huron Shores Hideaway :Awaken with the Season on Michigan's Sunrise Coast
As others have said, the view and Lake Huron beach access is what makes this property stand out.The house itself was comfortable and had some nice flavors: beautiful street, good parking, easy to find; large dining table w/bench, stocked kitchen; hot tub; large L-shaped couch, giant, flat screen TVs for those into large AV experiences, colorful, LED fireplace; and 2 of 3 bedrooms were comfortably equipped.Unfortunately, these features didnât make up for shortcomings like dog poop in grass; outdoor stairs to water access are built w/inconsistent rises and runs - a trip hazard; a few unstable dining chairs; and the general lack of household maintenance (bulbs out, 1 hallway fixture precariously attached to ceiling, bathroom towel rack falling off wall, remote batteries (and spares) didnât work, overhead lights were intense, and there was a wet dog/mold odor in the basement that was hard to ignore).Overall nothing was a dealbreaker. The house served its purpose and we had a good time. To prospective renters: keep your expectations in check and donât look at the wall trim throughout and youâll be fine.PS: the local grocery store knew the assignment and delivered. Shout out to everyone at the Family Fare.
We picked up a lot of trash down by the fire pit and also there was a lot of dog poop in the back yard that was there when we got there. Made it hard to let the kids outside to play. The water for the showers smelled bad as if there needs to be a water softener of some sort. The beach was nice though and we made the best of it.
House clean, spacious, all amenities needed. Appreciated we had cupboard space to put our perishables. House nicely decorated giving a nice relaxing feeling. Drawback - stated apx 23 stairs. There were 43 steep steps. Definitely need to plan your beach trip do you take everything you need on your trip down. The shore is Rocky (baseball size); Once past rocks beautiful sandy bottom. The rocks make it difficult for little ones to jump in and out/play in the water. Hot tub cloudy-perhaps due to necessary chemicals. It wasnât really hot tub weather so not a big deal. We had a great week, enjoyed the house and location.
Great place to stay, beautiful views. We really enjoyed our time there. By far, the most pet friendly place Iâve ever stayed at, & Iâve stayed at a lot of different places. They had dog bowls, dog blankets & dog towels. Great pet friendly place. For people, great views/access to the lake, good amount of dishes, supplies, towels & bathroom essentials. Would stay here again!!
Amazing view and beach. However, the deck and deck furniture had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Nor was the downstairs clean. In general the updates/renovations are very poorly done and hazardousâŠ.especially the stairs to the beach. The quality of this rental does not match the cost. I would not rent here again nor would I recommend this property.
The property was very nice. Appears small from
The outside but was very roomy on the inside.
The rooms were all clean. The steps down to the water are very, very steep. The stable flies (just the time of year) were still present and biting.
We recently stayed at this lovely house for vacation, and it was a fantastic experience! The house was immaculate upon arrival, which set the tone for a relaxing stay. One of the standout features was its excellent access to the beach complete with fire pit area and kayaks/paddle boards.
Another big plus was that the house was dog-friendly. It was great to bring our pets along and not have to worry about finding a pet sitter. The host was also very accommodating and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Overall, I highly recommend this rental house for anyone looking for a clean, beach-accessible, and pet-friendly vacation spot. It exceeded all our expectations and made for a memorable getaway!
Nice house and awesome kitchen. The stairs to the lake were challenging for us, but still worth the visit, the many landings were nice for breaks. The water is crystal clear and the beach was very clean. There is a lot to do and see in the area. We enjoyed rock hunting, the bike trails, beach walks, lighthouse, ship wrecks and the quarry all within a short distance but most of all the quietness and the waves.
House was newly decorated and had lots to offer. The view and the beach was more than we expected!! Perfect adult vacation spot with some great close by services for groceries, restaurants and all you need on vacation. Highly recommend- we would Definately stay here again.
