Beautiful place for your Rome vacation. Rooftop bar is lovely as well as daily breakfast in the restaurant. Staff are nice and helpful! Easy to arrange taxi or Uber too.

Second time at the Damaso and it doesn’t disappoint! The staff are so kind and make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are spacious. Excellent breakfast! Sabrina and Cristina work so hard to make everyone happy. The concierges are friendly and made reservations for us even before we arrived. The location is perfect. We walked to piazza navona, trastevere, Trevi fountain and the colosseum. We only needed a taxi for the Vatican and the airport. Will be coming back again soon as it’s a great starting point for anywhere in Italy.

Best stay in ome

I stayed in many hotels in Rome, on the day I fly back to the US, and the Damaso is by far the best. Very clean, renovated, the service staff is absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful. The location right in the middle of Rome. We got a suite and enjoyed it very much. Will come back here for sure if available.

Awesome Staff

The staff was fantastic. The room very nice. The location was great to walk to numerous sites. The e rooftop bar allowed a nice quiet way to wind down after sightseeing during a busy day. The only issue that caused the lower rating was late in the evening our room had a terrible smell coming from??? It was like sewer system backup. I will say that the staff came and checked it out thoroughly then added some treatment to the drain s and the issue seemed to go away.

Great central location! Great dining options nearby, there's a market behind the hotel with local produce, souvenirs. The market is surrounded by good dining options and local cafes. Piazza Navona, Fontana de Trevi and the coliseum are nearby.

Super sweet and helpful staff -- to the point that the lovely woman at the front desk helped me with an unfortunate red wine stain on my favorite dress and another gentleman made sure we had a ride to the airport at the last moment. Clean and comfortable rooms. Yummy breakfast. Beautiful rooftop with kind and creative bartenders. No complaints. Will absolutely be back. Thanks for a wonderful first trip to Rome!

Pleasant, Friendly, but Beware of Street Noise

Super clean, comfortable hotel in the center of Rome, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Decor was inviting, bathroom had tub, nice fluffly bathrobes, room was a good size. One important thing to note is that it is on a very busy road--our room was on the third floor directly on the road. The windows are just OK at blocking out the traffic noise, and they were no match for the extremely annoying singer with acoustic guitar and amplified sound in the plaza opposite the hotel, who was playing terrible pop hits (Wonderwall, Great Balls of Fire, etc) until around 23:00. I would recommend requesting a room at the back of the hotel if you're sensitive to noise--it really was a bit much that one night.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with a lot of character. Very friendly staff, clean, comfortable, and in a great area. Within walking distance of several sites, including the Pantheon, Vatican, and Colosseum.

Very nice and helpful staff. A lot of dining options very close to the hotel. Can walk to all the major tourist spots from this location. Very convenient. Recommend taxi to hotel as it is too far to walk from train station. Only quibble is the shower was very small. Overall bathroom was large and clean.
