This ski-in Alta vacation home boasts 5,451 sq feet of well-appointed interiors over three levels with multiple indoor and outdoor areas for guests to gather, including a den with an office space to mix work with play on your ski vacation.

As you enter the home, on the ground level, there's a convenient mud room and boot dryers to store all your winter coats, boots and ski gear in one place. To the right, you'll find a large den designed for your indoor entertainment with a flat screen tv, wet bar, pool table, and fireplace. A sweeping staircase takes you up to the main level where you're welcomed by walls of glass, loads of natural light, and plenty of space to switch to vacation time and create memories. The spacious living area features comfy leather seating around a stone clad fireplace and a large dining table to seat 10 guests.

Cooking for a crowd is not a chore at The Fort House! The newly renovated open concept chef's kitchen boasts two ovens, two dishwashers, granite countertops, and a large granite island beneath a skylight with additional seating for 4. Down the hall is a full laundry room with two washers and dryers for guest convenience. The great room opens onto the wonderful wrap-around deck with a gas BBQ and a private outdoor hot tub with Alta views.

The Fort House in Alta accommodates a maximum of 14 guests in two full primary suites with stunning mountain views, a fun bunk room, and five bedrooms with the convenient option of a king for couples, or two twins for a friend group getaway.

WINTER: Walk to Alta, Ski home from Alta. UTA Bus (public transportation) to Snowbird.
SUMMER: Easy access to hiking and biking.
ALTA SHUTTLE: Alta Resort Shuttle runs mid-December to early April. Call our office for specific dates.
PARKING: Outdoor parking for 3 vehicles. Garage is not for guest use. Boot dryers and skier storage nooks off of the main entry.
PLEASE NOTE: Guests may use the fireplace on the main level only.

How do I get from The Fort House to Alta and Snowbird? The Fort House is located very close to where the Bypass Road rejoins the State Highway 210 (the main road), below the Alta Peruvian Lodge. To get to Alta from this home, you have a couple of easy options. You can walk to the Alta Peruvian Lodge and from there ski across the cat track over to the lifts. You can also jump on the free Alta Resort Shuttle which makes a continuous loop of the Bypass Road during daytime hours. The shuttle runs continuously during the day. It will typically take just a few minutes to get up to the Collins or Sunnyside base areas at Alta. After skiing, you can utilize this same shuttle to bring you back to the property or you can ski home from Alta as well by accessing the Wildcat Access area and crossing the snowbridge back to the Peruvian Acres neighborhoods.

To get to Snowbird to go skiing, you would just take that Alta Resort Shuttle to The View Condominiums stop to ski down the intermediate “Whodunnit” run to Snowbird. At the end of the day, you can return to that same location to hop back on the Resort Shuttle to go back to The Fort House.

Important note: Alta Resort Shuttle runs mid-December to early April.
