this place was really gross. i had to get help into my room every single time i left because the key would deactivate (no i didn’t let it touch my phone). the place reeked of weed and was very clearly a party hotspot, as all of my neighbors kept their doors open and music loud. I was traveling alone and felt unsafe the whole time. My door had such a large gap between it and the wall when closes that i had to squish towels in between the gap so that i didn’t feel so open to the hallway. my door did not lock other than the electronic card part but the lock itself didn’t stay put and I had to rely on the dead bolt which was not ideal as a 23 yo girl traveling alone.

Stayed here almost 2 weeks ago, left a day early and checked out at front desk the person who checked me out never did in the system, so I am still waiting 2 weeks later for the refund for the night I didnt stay after also being told by 3 different people I was checked out and the refund will be to me in 2 business days. I also called in the midst of my travels the day I left to confirm I checked out to confirm it was done in the system and was told they couldnt find me so I had to of been to find out today I never was. Unimpressed to say the least.

The first time I stayed there the cleaning crew went though my luggage on two days that I noticed and also stole a new pair of shoes. The second time I tried to stay there they canceled my reservation for the whole week due to my plane being late for 2 hours. They also refused to allow me the remaining days on the reservation. This refusal also took them almost 2 hours of internal talks just to get a final choice. NOTE NO ELEVATOR! The hotel appears to be run by one family the rooms were acceptable and the breakfast was much better then other hotels I stayed at in general. Shuttle service is ok but book ahead and allow at least 20Min more then you need to get to or from SLC. When requesting a refund for the remaining days they refused to refund until I contacted my booking site. Even then 2 days later the refund still is not pending! If not expressed in reservation this place will claim another deposit per item, object, service. Simple example if you rent a room with a kitchen the cooking pot, pans, plates, cups, ...... are all and fee and not included. The site is an older style and many of the renovations are patchwork but is still acceptable.

With assistance, yes, I easily found where to take the shuttle, Both shuttle drivers, night on 11/11/‘25, and morning, 11/12/‘25, were both courteous and effective. Staff at Suburban Studios hotel was excellent and people oriented — great! I overslept & missed breakfast. Excellent place to stay!

Refused to give you clean towels, front desk lied multiple times about sending maintenance to fix multiple things in our room, lied about housekeeping needing to stop by our room for basic necessities such as toilet paper and tissues. Maintenance verified they were never notified of any of our needs after 3 days of no one coming. Got our sheets changed once in 3 weeks. Housekeeping stops by maybe once a week, and only for towels. They’ll take the dirty towels and not return any clean ones…
