Trapp Family Country Lodge in Alajuela is a beautiful oasis in a bustling city, and is conveniently situated near SJO Airport. The property has majestic shade trees, a pool, a garden, a lovely porch for dining, Adirondack chairs for relaxing, rooms with beautiful wooden furniture, open air balconies, and a ceiling fan. With the enormous old shade trees, high ceilings and a ceiling fan, an air conditioner was not necessary. This is not your typical chain hotel found in every city in the world. Trapp Family Country Lodge truly felt like a uniquely Costa Rican experience. The property was very secure, and the staff were super nice. I plan to stay here on future visits!

We loved our stay here! It truly is a beautiful location tucked away in a jungle setting away from the noise of the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Food was great, room was spacious. I highly recommend!!

Breakfast included, only 8 rooms and they treat you like family. $6 taxi to the airport.
