A Perfect Romantic Getaway in one of the countries most magical cities!!
The 1869 original Carriage House is a free standing cottage behind the main house with its own private entrance off the lane/alley.

It is located on the 2nd floor over the garage like all original carriage houses in Savannah, so there is a flight of stairs to get to the 2nd floor home.
The carriage house is where the livery driver lived in the 1800s above the horses and carriages he cared for. The Wedding Cake Carriage House comes with a highly coveted garage parking space.

The unusual design is evocative of a “Manhattan loft” set in a historic 1869 carriage house. This surprise blending of original 1920 - 1940 art deco furnishings and many antique elements creates a fun, casual ambiance.
The open and airy open concept living space showcases an entire wall of frosted artist windows, thus flooding the house with natural light.

The bedroom with king bed and TV is adjacent to the alluring bathroom with luxurious features such as 6 foot air tub and separate marble shower. The complete kitchen provides everything you need to whip up a Southern style meal or just grab toast and coffee on the way out your door to take in the cities historical sights that you are just steps out your door!

This reservation includes one private, garage parking space.

Guest may use the walled courtyard although it is shared with guests in the Main House.

There is a washer/dryer in the garage for you to use during your stay.

Maximum occupancy is 2 people, including infants & children.
Minimum age to reserve is 25 years old, no exceptions.
No pets or smoking.

Great romantic get-a-way

The carriage house was very nice, well-maintained, and stocked with all the basic necessities. Having the garage for parking our car and the jetted tub for soothing our muscles after long walks were great bonuses!

This was the absolute perfect place for my husband and me to stay on our first visit to Savannah! I had looked at various places and settled on this one because of the tub in the bathroom (LOL) and the parking space in the garage! It was exactly as described! Very clean! Excellent location! I was very thankful for the note beside the jetted tub explaining that the jets just randomly turn on from time to time! That definitely would have unnerved us without the warning! We hope to have a longer stay next time!

Perfect location!

What a magical stay. Spacious yet cozy. Location was perfect to walk to everything- food, shopping, history. Private garage for our car was an added bonus for peace of mind. Strongly recommend staying here. Would have been a rating of excellent but the mattress and sheets need to be updated.

Just as advertised. Close to everything. Quiet, historic neighborhood. The garage space really helped and was large enough to easily fit a midsize SUV with room to spare (e.g. Palisade; Durango). Would absolutely stay again.

If you like history, this is a perfect place to stay for a long weekend. It’s in the heart of Savannah’s historic district with the prettiest streets being a short walk. The carriage house with parking included is a great bonus! The garage is tight, so plan accordingly. Enjoy!

Lovely property. GREAT location. Walk to everything. THe only heads-up is access to the garage is tight Savannah's lanes are narrow. We were in a Sentra and it took some maneuvering. There is evidence at the entrance of others not as deft. Don't try it with an SUV!

Our apartment was spacious and comfortable and very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Location in the historic district was wonderful and very walkable to everything. Good security and parking. We were very satisfied and would stay there again.

Great Location

Great location, left car parked in garage and walked every where and used hop on hop off trolly one of our days. Understood from previous reviews that it was an upstairs unit and the stairs were a pain for our luggage but otherwise ok. Host very easy to deal with. Would stay here again if back in Savannah.

The location was perfect! We were able to walk about the city and could easily stop back at our place. The accommodations were great as well. The garage parking was a bit tricky as it’s a rather small parking space (which is understandable knowing the history of the building) and it’s in an alley. We figured it out!

This one bedroom apartment is a wonderful space in the historic district within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and gardens. The apartment is well appointed and quite clean. The reason for the four star rating is the failure of the WiFi for our entire stay. When that is addressed, it deserves five stars.

Property was as presented on VRBO. Very comfortable. Great shower. Centrally located in historic district. One designated parking in garage. If you have a choice between driving full size truck or midsize vehicle, drive the midsize vehicle. Not sure truck would fit. Highly recommend this property.

Fabulous weekend getaway in Savannah! The carriage house is an optimal location - walkable to many restaurants, shops, cafes. The neighborhood is quiet at night for a good night's rest. If you're driving or renting a car, the garage was a super convenient amenoty. We would stay here again

Great Stay in Savannah

We have traveled to Savannah for the last 4 years to see the Christmas show at the Savannah theater. Parking was always a problem when staying at one of the historic Inns, so the Carriage House was perfect. We had a great time and our car had it's own garage.

Sisters' Weekend Getaway

First of all, the location in the Historic District is excellent. Easy and safe walking opportunities, yet located off the major roadways. A quiet and safe neighborhood, near restaurants, Flagler College, and the Lightner Museum. The downtown parking garage parking pass was a much appreciated bonus! We had a very enjoyable 3 days. The condo itself is lovely. Very attractive. Large screen TV's in two rooms; internet was great. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is up-dated and well equipped. However, the building had apparently been recently flooded, so the downstairs hallway had a distinct mildew smell; the upstairs condo was much better, but still slightly evident. If someone is sensitive to this, it would be a good idea to explore this in more depth with the owner/manager. Our stay coincided with a Super Moon which happens a few times a year. The high tide came in and flooded the road and sidewalk in front of our building for approximately 2 - 3 hours every 12 hours. What a surprise that was. The water was quite deep, and the neighbors were able to give us very valuable advice; they told us not to drive through it unless we took the car to a car wash right away. We were totally safe the whole time, and our parked car was always dry. We used a local tide table to plan our day around when we were able to drive in and out of the parking lot. This does not happen every month, but it would be worth checking out.
