Forsyth Park could be considered the hub of Savannah for both locals and tourists alike. On any given day it might be bustling with people walking, reading, playing sports, attending a concert or the Saturday farmer's market. It's the largest park in Savannah's Historic District and stretches over 30 acres with a northern border on Park Avenue to down south of Gaston Street. It then stretches east to Drayton Street and west to Whitaker Street. Just three blocks walking distance to Forsyth Park, this beautifully appointed rental has two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms totaling 1,534 square feet. Located on one of Savannah's most picturesque streets, this second-floor residence overlooks a lovely brick and cobblestone street with ample free on street parking. Hall Street features wide sidewalks which are tree lined with crepe myrtles, magnolias, and evergreens. Your private off-street parking space is located behind the courtyard at the back of the property off Hall Lane. This area of the Historic District boasts amazing restaurants, cute coffee shops, and the Kroger grocery store, which houses a Starbucks, is less than a block away.

Built in 1892 and designated a Historic Landmark in 1973, Southern Hall Upper has all the charm of turn of the century architecture including ten and a half foot ceilings, hard wood flooring, eleven chandeliers, three decorative fireplaces, two porches, and a spacious courtyard. Once inside, you will be welcomed by a bright and roomy living room with two comfy sofas, a flat screen smart HDTV, gorgeous chandelier, and a decorative fireplace with antique brass andirons. Relax and enjoy a show or a chat with your housemates while on break from exploring Savannah. Attached to this room is the formal dining room with elegant padded chairs and bench seating. An oversized chandelier and ornately framed nostalgic oil painting add an aura of yesteryear to your dining experience.

Adjacent to the living room, you will find the well-equipped kitchen featuring a large baker's rack with dishes, convenient small appliances, and lots of cookbooks (the owner's wife is a retired professional yacht chef!). Just outside the kitchen is an extremely luxurious and comfortable porch featuring a dining table and chairs for six which gives you the option of al fresco dining overlooking scenic Hall Street. A comfortable sectional and cocktail table create a wonderful lounging area to enjoy the sights and sounds of Savannah while relaxing with a drink and snacks or later with coffee and dessert.

The bedrooms in our Savannah vacation rentals will always make you feel right at home. Both spacious bedrooms feature super comfy king-sized beds, flat screen smart HDTVs, oil paintings, interesting accessories, decorative fireplaces, and large walk-in closets. The “Gold” bedroom features a Chinese wedding cabinet which is over two hundred years old and a Maitland-Smith table. The “Silver” bedroom has an outside porch with a settee and two rocking chairs overlooking the citrus trees on the porch next door. You'll love going outside in the morning or evening for a serene moment away from everything. The full bath has a tub-shower with plenty of water pressure.

Southern Hall features high speed Wi-Fi with ample bandwidth for all your electronic needs as well as a Bose system to play your own music and a Blu Ray DVD player in the living room. There is also a stacked washer and dryer for your convenience.

The large courtyard features tables and chairs which can be configured into dining for ten or split into smaller intimate seating areas. No courtyard in Savannah would be complete without an angel statue. This one is five feet tall and completes the sublime feel of the courtyard. Southern Belle Pool
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located at 19 Silver Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.
The Pool is open during the below dates and times.

March 1 - Oct 31: Open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm.
Nov 1 - Feb 28/29: Open Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm

Additional Pool Hours available during the off-season are listed below. If these dates fall in the middle of the week, the pool will be open as listed below and every Friday and Saturday.

SUPER CLEAN and very beautiful home. Perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of on street parking. Walkable to many of the squares and parks. In the middle of summer, walking to river street is a bit much, but overall i was very happy where we stayed.

Lovely, quiet street. Ease of traversing the local sites and restaurants. Beautiful, aesthetically appealing home with historic vibe. Shower has wildly strong water pressure. Beds are super comfy. My 6’2”, 250 lbs husband loved it but I would caution anyone with thin skin. Grocery store a 2 minute walk away for any needs. Absolutely loved the tea/ coffee shop on the corner. Overall, loved our stay at this Savannah gem.

Perfection!

This house was beautiful and in an amazing location! We were highly satisfied and plan to stay there again when we are in Savannah. The property manager checked in daily to make sure things were good, and if we needed anything. We felt very safe! The beds were SUPER comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was excellent!! We loved the parking spot behind the house so we didn't have to worry about the street sweeping. There was also a coffee shop two doors down that was delicious and super handy. It's about a 8 min walk to Forsyth park, and a 1 min walk to Kroger! Highly recommend this home!!

Enchanting old house

POSITIVES: -Awesome 130 y/o town house. Well-restored- Historic District. -Go to Mata Factor at end of block. Awesome coffee shop. -Walkable area, but glad to have a car. -Close to Forsythe Park. -House itself was great! Loved the decor in the living room/ 1st bedrm. -AC unit worked great. -Unit was really large. Wished we would have brought friends. -Pool was new. Heated perfectly. Provided good shade. NEGATIVE: -Southern Belle was.. a lot. LOOONG over-detailed instructions made us feel we were entering into a horrible contract. Finding instructions to get in house/pool, were WAY too much reading. They must have some crazy stuff happen b/c I have never rented a place that spells out logic in such a "detailed" way. -We planned on using the pool. We were told there was a "massive storm" pool would not be open. We went to Tybee anyway. "Massive storm" was overcast 95 degree w/ a few sprinkles. No storm. Tons of people at beach. They just didn't want to open it that day. Very disappointing. We did go back. -Pool was far from the house. Small. Overcrowded. No towels. No privacy. I would not complain except it was described as "Resort Style." -Bed broken in back bedroom. -Garbage disposal was broken. -Kitchen was the worst/most outdated. -No hot water anywhere but shower. -Not 5-star clean. With such early check out/late check in- house should've been immaculate. -Stingy with supplies. No laundry soap. -Tons of stairs. -Maid walked in before check out time w/out knocking.

It’s a good location close to Kroger and the cutest coffee shop on the corner. We did have some ac issues that the host addressed. Only in one room though. It was because vents were closed but room still seemed warm for us. Vents were opened after we contacted host. Plenty of room for a family of 3. We did stay in July so we did take that into consideration that cooling can be challenging.

Great Space, Lovely Location

This upper floor of a charming late 1800s home was spacious and very comfortable. The furnishings and art elements added to an overall elegant ambiance. The small kitchen was surprisingly well equipped and Kroger is only a block away. Very convenient to Savannah's historic district if you dont mind a little walking. We would absolutely stay here again!

Personal Retreat

Perfect location, quiet neighborhood, 3 blocks from Forsyth Park, one block from Kroger grocery store. I felt very safe there by myself. Private parking spot behind building a big plus (on-street parking can be a pain in cities). Parked my car and never used it again until the day I left. One star removed for cleanliness but I’m being very nit-picky: area rug in main living room is tired and huge chandelier over dining table is pulling out of one side and needs to be re-hung. Upper balcony facing the street hadn’t been cleaned; furniture cushions were dirty, a tad moldy, and covered in gravel and leaves. It’s only just now getting to be “outside weather” so I understand why the outdoor balcony wasn’t a priority. But it needs a thorough cleaning (and the cushions probably need replacing). Kitchen was great: just an FYI: the only two appliances missing are an air fryer and slow cooker but everything else is there. I didn’t miss or need anything more than what was there. Great space, beautiful artwork, super charming, lovely neighborhood, easy to park and get around, nearby grocery a big plus. Very pleased!

Beyond our expectations! Beautiful space and conveniently located. Nice quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of Forsythe Park and nearby interests. The unit is well appointed, secure and a perfect retreat after a day of exploring Savannah. Will be back!

problem with tv

I could not access current news (e.g. CNN, Msnbc) or find any current sporting events. I don't know if it was that I just am not very sophisticated, but I never have had that problem in any hotel stays. The place is very nice but I wouldn't re-book for that reason.

Historic district apartment

Great size with everything needed for a week's stay. Management company very efficient and responsive to texting. Loved sitting out on balcony but be aware in the outdoor heat if the door remains open for a short length of time it will set off the fire alarm located in the kitchen. Evident that stairs had some new repairs and appreciated. Wooden step into apartment could be better secured to prevent a fall if footing is off. Grocery store across street. Off street parking was nice if having a rental car. Overall great stay and we would return!

Fabulous place and location!

The apartment was well laid out and decorated. The beds were super comfortable and we really enjoyed the outdoor spaces. The location of the property is very close to Forsyth park and most places are in walking distance. Southern Belle was super easy to work with. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.
