My husband and I stayed here for our 25 anniversary. Everything about our stay was perfect! The bed was extremely comfortable! Great location right across from Forsyth Park. Extremely clean and comfortable accommodations. Within walking distance of most things we wanted to see and do. The host was amazing to work with and check-in/check-out process was a breeze! We will definitely return to Savannah and would love to stay here again!
My daughter and I had a lovely 3 day getaway in Savannah. The property was even better than advertised! It was easy to feel at home. Deb was super helpful. We will definitely book this home again!
Cozy and lovely space right by Forsyth Park. If you're looking for a hotel experience, this may not be the spot for you, but if you appreciate the historic feel of Savannah and want a similar space that feels like a home away from home, this is perfect! Loved having the full kitchen and location couldn't be better. There's a great cafe that is a short walk in the park. Walking thru Forsyth for breakfast was a great start to each day. Everything I wanted to do was either walkable or a quick bus ride. I think I used my car once thru my stay.Host was very helpful in sharing suggestions for great restaurants and things to do. Will absolutely stay here again on my next visit.
We stayed only two nights at this property. The property is on the ground level, but be aware the property has many single or half steps up and down inside going from room to room. If this was mentioned in the description, I missed it. It wasn't a big deal for my husband and I, but others might want to know this. The apartment has all the comforts needed, but is quite dark inside. Good for sleeping. The location was perfect as we went walking around the park each morning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Garden Suite at the Whitaker Mansion. Very comfortable and roomy with a beautiful kitchen and huge bathroom. It was quaint and located on a lovely quiet street right across from Forsythe Park. Great location with shopping and restaurants easily accessible. I would definitely stay there again!
We stayed 3 nights with our toddler. Loved the space. Alot more spacious than pictures do it justice. Loved the shower. Great water pressure. Ladies bring a shower cap as it is hard to not wet your hair in a rain shower but it felt very nice. We enjoyed the savannah children's museum, Forsyth park, tybee isand, river street and everything in between. Was so glad to find my favorite book store had not closed but had just moved. Books on bay now on abercorn street. Had some wonderful food at clarys across the road from the book store as well as savannah seafood shack, A taco affair, collins quarter at forsyth and treylor parch beach party in tybee.
Deborah is fantastic to work with, it was the perfect place for my husband and me, right across from Forsyth Park. A quiet setting if you want to be away from the more active river area. Yet still close enough to walk to the river and all thatâs happening in between and all the pocket parks. The location is just perfect. The only downside is whatever time the people upstairs get up is when you get up. Understandably, an old home and not much sound barrier between the two floors. Everything else is absolutely perfect!
My daughter and I spent a short weekend in Savannah and this place was perfect. The location was amazing. Canât say enough good things about the experience.
Location was amazing and I felt safe staying here solo, but couldnât get past the dead cockroach in the living room. At least it was dead. The place is fine but very little windows ( which have bars on them for garden level) and little natural light. Because the back door is locked and not functional or accessible from a guest perspective, It felt like a fire trap as there is only one exit out of the unit. The bathroom, with the copious amount of floor to ceiling glass blocks surrounding the entire toilet area, could use an overall update/remodel and shower could use a deep clean of the grout. Sofa was fine but had a few stains. Bed and bedding was comfortable, and accessibility to Unit went smoothly. There were lots of lights to make up for the lack of natural light. If there are people staying in the above intil u will hear them due to age of the building. I woke up 1st morning to kids balls bouncing around. The second morning I work up at 8:20 am to an endless vacuum cleaning the unit. Wasnât expecting that as quite hours are said to be until 9am. I would stay here again as I feel owner was receptive to feedback.
Beautiful space, no insulation between other apartments- awoken with noisy renters
VRBO renter above our unit had 6 males who were very noisy and kept us awake from 3-4. Are unit was Beautiful but not well ventilated so smelled mildew. The property itself is gorgeous and well appointed and Deborah was very responsive. Unit part of an old antebellum mansion on outskirts of historic district - great location. Didnât need car - walked to everything
Loved the location! Usually pics make a space look bigger, this one however, was actually larger in person. Oh, and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil on the DVD player - an EXCELLENT touch!
This is a great property across from Forsyth Park and right on the free trolley transit system. The place is beautiful and cozy and just what we wanted. Great host and all our needs were met. I recommend this for any stay in Savannah, GA.
Location was amazing. 50 charge for early check in is a terrible vibeâŠDust was EVERYWHERE. I have photos. check toilet paper holder, vents, ceiling fansâŠthere were bugs on floor, a cheerio that we didnât eat and the paper towels were dirty. Bugs had been smushed and killed in the curtains. I asked for more towels and was told no service was available. The bedding was DEFINITELY NOT CLEAN- pillows were flat old and not protected with zipper case covers. Mattresses are flat and old. We paid money to be exhausted and not sleep. Big bummer.
This property is beautiful. The location & neighborhood is perfect. The cleanliness not so great! The property manager never replied to my email requests to have the property cleaned. I explained the floors had dirt, dust and chips in the carpet. And the bathroom needed cleaning. No reply from the manager for the entire time of the stay. Very disappointing!
Had a lovely stay in the Garden SuiteâŠperfect location for visiting Savannah. Garden Suite was perfect mixture of historical charm with modern amenities. The location was great for walking thru the historical district and enjoying what Savannah has to offerâŠ
