Large Family Home w/ Parking, Steps from Forsyth Fountain by Lucky Savannah

Situated just West of the famous Fountain at Forsyth Park, Huntingdon Getaway is the ideal vacation home for a large family looking for a local experience.

Park off-street in the designated parking areas and walk into the Savannah home of your dreams. The first level boasts high ceilings and ample natural light. Guests will enjoy kicking back and relaxing in the living room while their favorite show plays on the flat screen TV. An adjoining dining room comfortably seats eight and connects to an open kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

Upstairs, three bedrooms with two full baths accommodate an additional six guests. The first bedroom has a Queen size bed with en suite bath, and the second and third bedrooms have King and Queen size beds, respectively.

Head East towards Savannah's largest green space, Forsyth Park, and grab a bite at a few local favorites. On Saturdays, the Forsyth Farmer's Market gives guests a taste of the local agriculture. Head North along Bull Street for a promenade through the squares. Most of Savannah's main attractions such as Broughton Street, City Market, and the riverfront are just a short 15 minute walk away.

What is parking like for this home?
Huntingdon Getaway includes two private parking spaces off-street: one in the driveway and another in the attached garage, which can accommodate a full-size sedan, or mid-size SUV. Trucks and large SUV's should have no trouble finding a non-metered spot near the home.

Location and home were perfect for 4 ladies from different states. Parking was great for 2 cars but we played musical cars on the street with another car (signs say what days and times parking is allowed). The house had everything we needed and was very clean. We will definitely book this house again - hopefully next year!

This was a Bachelorette weekend for a close friend of ours. She (and us as well) was beyond impressed with the house and the ease of which we could walk around Savannah and see the beautiful landscapes and shops and restaurants. Highly recommend this location!

Wonderdul space and location

All good things-Wonderful location- the park, restaurants, coffee shops are all walkable. We were in town for an event at Savannah State University and the drive was easy.Wonderful communication about all things rental from the host.Wonderful space- good amount of room for our family of 5. My friends and I were celebrating a milestone birthday this year; all of us turning the same age within a matter of a couple of months. The property was as described, beautiful and in a great location. Having said that, we did experience a few things that diminished our overall enjoyment of our stay. First, the A/C was not working. We arrived to an air temp of 94 degrees in the house, whilst this was corrected, it was extremely unpleasant for several hours. Secondly, both of the showers are not working properly. We had to investigate to figure out how to get them to deliver hot water, something that was hit or miss throughout our stay. And finally, by the second night, the lower patio door lock was not working. We did not report this because we felt it would require multiple calls and interrupt our plans to have to wait around for someone to arrive and fix it. We would likely stay here again with some changes, but I am expecting, as the host for my friends and one responsible for their overall experience that we are at least financially compensating for 1 full night of our stay at this property due to all of the issues we experienced. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Rented the house while attending our family reunion, which was a much better option over the host hotel. Nice and clean home right on the edge of the historic district, and in walking distance to the park. The one car garage was too small for our suv but perfect for backing in front of to unload and load. Highly recommended and would certainly return!

We enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed plus a good location so close to Forsyth Park. The only thing I wish is that the master bedroom would have curtains and not just mini blinds because of street lights. However it was a very good stay.

Seeking Savannah Secrets

The townhome on Huntingdon is very nice and the perfect location to walk to Forsythe Park plus a few restaurants. The kitchen has plenty of cooking pots, pans, and utensils. It is well stocked to cook anything you buy to eat in. We would definitely stay again when we visit Savannah again.
