How close is Savannahâs Oak & Brick Hideaway to downtown Savannah?
We really enjoyed our stay! The property was nice and spaciousâwe had more than enough room for our family of 11. The house was also centrally located, which made it easy to get to all the areas of Savannah we wanted to visit. I would definitely stay here again.
The location was lovely. We had at least 10 guests at any given time and everyone was comfortable. The amenities met what we needed and we were close to shopping, museums and the beach all within less than 30 minutes from the location.
Oscar was very accommodating and really went out of his way to supply every need that could be anticipated by a guest. He left than ample supplies of everything that any guest might have forgotten for their stay at his home. There were plenty of utensils in the kitchen for use (pots, pans, cookware, silverware, etc.) and he made sure that all of the bathrooms and bedrooms were well stocked with paper products, towels and such (some places we have run out of things or brought our own just to be on the safe side - but here we did not even have to touch anything extra that we brought). The house is very warm and inviting with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a great fenced in backyard with a grill and firepit that can be used (which did all during our stay). Although it was a little further away from the river walk than what we wanted, it was close to everything that was needed and the neighborhood was very quiet and pleasant. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. We will be contacting him again to stay with him next year during our visit for another birthday celebration. Absolutely loved the place.
Clean and well supplied. I had a place to do my make up and get ready. I really appreciate the luggage racks in the closet and racks in the bathroom to hang towels.
My family and I stayed for two days. As we were looking for a short time away from home, Savannah's Oak and Brick Hideaway was the perfect fit. The house was clean and so comfortable inside. It was so close to everything. It was all we could have asked for. Will definitely stay again.
The house seems small at first glance, but it is actually quite large! We had a group of 11 women, and had plenty of space! 3 bathrooms with that many women was also really great! The location was perfect, as it was in a quiet neighborhood near a lot of restaurants and convenience stores (a couple members of our group even walked to Starbucks the mornings that we were there), but it was also easily drivable (or Uber-/Lyft-able) to downtown Savannah and River Street. The house had just about every piece of cookware that we needed, and had plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, etc. for everyone in our group. There was some trash on the coffee table when we arrived, so that is why I gave a 4 star rating for cleanliness. Even still, I would highly recommend staying here!
