Shangri-La: Forsyth Park Victorian Mansion

Beautifully preserved Victorian mansion originally built in 1895 right next to Forsyth Park. Marble steps lead to the grand entry with original giant doorway. Heart of pine flooring in perfect condition throughout the home along with soaring ceilings will set the mood for a luxurious historic experience. The main living area has a living room, dining room, bedroom with King size bed, full kitchen and full bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower combination. There is also a full size brand new washer/dryer on this main level, and a spacious back porch and shared patio area to enjoy the coastal weather. On the 2nd floor you will find another King size bed in bedroom 2, and two Queen beds in bedroom 3. We have a bonus room with a twin daybed and a 2nd spacious living room on this second floor along with another full bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower combination.

The 2nd floor has a private back porch overlooking the shared courtyard. The carriage house is a detached separate rental on the other side of the courtyard which shares the patio space with this main house. *The attic of the main house is private and while not locked is roped off as inaccessible for guests and only for the owner.

While the property offers manicured comforts and Southern panache, the surrounding neighborhood, known as the Victorian district, affirms Savannah's status as a premiere vacation destination. The Victorian District was home to famous Revolutionary war heroes and dignitaries, including Eli Whitney and Juliette Gordon Low, founder of The Girl Scouts of America. This quaint, pristine landscape is pedestrian friendly, with quick access to guided bus tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, and The Fragrant Garden for the Blind. The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) main campus is close by, as are numerous world-class, trending restaurants offering a plethora of dining options an easy walk or bike ride away.

Wonderful home right on the edge of Forsythe Park! Our group loved the unique decor and layout of this home. We walked into downtown each day and never needed to drive. Also, exceptionally comfortable beds (at least the one we had!). So glad we got to enjoy this home!

The home was roomy and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. Close to parks and sites. We would definitely recommend staying here. The host is quick to respond and can be reached at all times. There is a book that explains everything. Street parking is easy, we were able to park right in front of the house. This is a block from the park that has amazing walking paths, a really great restaurant, the iconic fountain, bus stops for the free shuttle that goes around town and community events going on all the time. We had a girl trip of 3 generations in our family from 15 yo to 80. The house was spacious and able to easily accommodate the 8 of us. It was clean and equipped with all you needed for a lovely stay. Artistic and well situated Victorian …

This is a nicely laid out and artistically decorated 4 bedroom property. Solid Victorian gave our group of 6 acoustical privacy from the raging storm outside while providing a cozy venue during our time indoors. The house and beds were very comfortable. The house is adjacent to Forsyth Park and is brilliantly located for touring historic Savannah. Check in was easy, too.

Beautiful Victorian in perfect location

Our girls' trip was highlighted by this beautiful home. We ended up spending a lot of time in the kitchen and in the living room, talking, laughing and relaxing. The location is ideal. It's very quiet at night yet an easy 15 minute walk to the riverfront or a 5 minute Uber ride. The trolley shuttle picked us up right out front. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed.
