I was excited to stay here, but it was unfortunately an incidence of Instagram vs reality. This property has potential, but it seems like the owner is in over their head.
Pros: bedroom that stays dark all day so you can sleep as late as you like; really comfortable bed; decorated well; good location; free parking!
Cons: insufficient kitchenware; mildewed shower curtain; bathroom needed a thorough cleaning; bathroom sink drained slowly and the faucet was barely above a strong trickle; there's only a ceiling-mounted showerhead for some reason (???); everything outside of the bedroom is a little run down.
Hoping they address the issues so future guests can rave about it.
Had a stay booked a few days after the hurricane hit.
Contacted owner to ask about refund due to conditions of the area. The mayor had given a press conference the day before check in stating a Extened State Of Emergency as well as down power lines , down trees and street lights down.
I stated I did not feel safe traveling to the area.
I feel the area was under a lot of stress and as a tourist I should not be in the way.
I was offered to pick new dates however time off wouldn't allow for a trip anytime soon
Refund was denied multiple times.
Even though I was half way there I turned around and went home.
