Our room was very nice,clean and had nice amenities. The staff was very nice and friendly. The reason for the low overall rating was for 3 reasons. 1. In the two days stay we had no hot water. At one time after running a shower for 15 minutes the water became lukewarm long enough to be able to get showers quickly. Staff told us they’ve been having issues with the water main and thought they had a problem solved. 2. When we were in the room, the TV would go thru 40 channels, but we could only get about six of them to come in with Service. After speaking to the staff, their suggestion was for me to pull the TV away from the wall and jiggle the wires and we should be able to get a few more channels. but they also said that everything depended on the weather conditions which at the time we were getting 4 inches of snow. 3. On the last day of our stay, the housekeeping staff walked in to our room while my wife and I were dressing. The housekeeper said that they had been notified that we checked out. After calling the front desk, they told me that somebody had turned in room cards that showed the same room we were staying in, which was impossible. The front desk said there must’ve been a glitch in the system, but that left us a little bit uneasy. Over the years we’ve stayed in many Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express and found all of them very good. Upscale hotels like this should not have these type issues. Hopefully the owner will get these issues corrected.
