Quite disappointing

Pretty disappointing compared to my last stay. When I checked in to my Superior Room had two single beds pushed together rather than a King Bed as advertised. Got lost trying to find reception again (why have two receptions with one unmanned?)-l and then when I got there the lady was adamant it was acceptable to shove two beds together and call it a King. Thankfully her male colleague had a bit more about him and managed to find me a room with an actual King bed. Although I found it quite amusing when he tried to call it an ‘upgrade’ because it had a view of the drunks making their way home in front of the Peace Gardens! New room was fine albeit the TV didn’t really work - signal only seemed to work for BBC1 and even that was quite patchy. Won’t be staying here again in a hurry which is a shame as I had as great stay last time.

Review of hotel

Overall it was good, however even though the hotel is dog friendly, they seemed unprepared for how to deal with a dog, even though it cost us £30 to have him with us for the night. We were offered bowls for the dog which were provided, but we were offered a bed for the dog which did not arrive. Also we had to eat breakfast in shifts as there was no facility avaliable to take the dog to.

Windows cannot be opened. Für "fresh" air you need to turn on the air condition system which is unhealthy and unecological – and noisy. For a good night´s sleep you need to choose: eighter air OR silence.
