Nice house, clean, in good condition, decorated beachy, kitchen was well enough stocked. Would stay again of issues fixed. Problems - lip on floor going from bedrooms hallway to living room - dangerous issue. In excitement of arriving and bringing everything in, knew of the problem from reviews, saw the lip as i crossed to bedrooms, and a i crossed back over, still caught me completely by surprise. Caught both my feet on the lip, fell HARD flat on my whole body, smashed both my knees. Very easy to put caution tape on that spot. They have a sign up at the ceiling in the living room, which doesn't help eye's on the floor. AC's in living room quirky - can't recall quirk of one by couch, makes you try one by table, which sounds and feels like a semi is rolling through. Stopped using them. Full bed high off ground, elderly dad had trouble, Better to ditch box spring.Bunk beds in other room unnecessary, could ditch desk, fit full or queen bed Myself and kiddo shared bottom bunk.....Living room seemed it could easily fit a bigger couch. Myself and dad could not both fit. There was a beeping in basement, kept me awake 2 of 3 nights. Messaged about it, explained I'd tried to find it, gave me suggestions where to look, went into basement, covered in spiders, i said they needed to come, they came right out, it stopped, and started again. Was hoping they'd refund a night's cost for trouble but didn't
The house is in a nice neighborhood close to restaurants and shopping. It was a good size for my husband and I and there were thing we appreciated, the washer & dryer, the tea kettle and coffee maker, the cleanliness. There were also some issues - the split in the living room was super noisy, making conversation difficult. Most concerning was that there were no smoke detectors in the living space. My husband is a former fireman - and Rhode Island requires smokes detectors outside every sleeping quarters. We found it difficult in the bathroom with no towel rack of even hooks to hang your robe. Also the sing in the bathroom does not drain well. Suggestion for safety - the "watch your step" sign would be helpful on the hallway side of the step and a little sign on the dryer reminding guests to empty the lint tray after each dry - our first use, the lint tray looked like it had never been emptied - it was very full. It would have been helpful to have a measuring cup and pot holders in the kitchen. there was also a periodic beeping we could not find the source of. All and all, we were happy with the location of the house and found the mattress in the bedroom most comfortable.
Very slow running drains meant standing water in sinks. Tons of trash outdoors. Couldn't fit our bag of trash in the 2 containers. Air in livingroom didnt work properly. They left us damp towels to use. Supposed to send tbe door code at 2 pm. Arrived at 5 pm and they had never sent it. I had to call Expedia to get the code while sitting outdoors in o4 degree heat. Yard full of weeds so you couldn't enjoy the outdoors.
Nice property but a few hiccups along the way. No checkin info provided prior to arrival, needed to contact host to get code. No extra t.p. and when we emailed to get stocked ,no reply. Little things, but inconvenient when on vaca
This review is geared more to parents with babies/ toddlers. Me, my partner and 1 year old stayed here in July. We had decent communication with the landlord when we had issues with the AC and internet. There was mention of a crib being available but it was not there. So co-sleeping on the floor worked for us using the twin mattresses. For one person the queen bed is comfortable but note - it too tall for a baby to co-sleep (risk of falling). The odd thing is that when we arrived the towels were folded but still moist - they hadn't dried all the way. Some of the sheets weren't clean- there was a strong perfume smell. There are no hooks in the bathroom to hang your towel or a bathmat. The hallway and kitchen floors were pretty dirty (think of a baby walking/crawling). Careful, there's a bump that we all tripped on in between the living room and hallway. There's a broom but I think a swiffer would help. If you are cooking - take note there are no oven mitts. There's a dish rack but no tray underneath to catch the water. Note - There are no hand towels in the kitchen. We brought our own papertowels and purchased some night lights (we left them there for the next person staying there). The place needs some side lamps (for those with light sensitivity - all the lighting is overhead). Also note flies come in and out because there is no screen - bring your fly swatter! The good thing is that the neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. Being so close to the beach is a plus!
We had a wonferful stay with our family of four plus our dog. The location is perfect, just a few minute walk to shops and restaurants. Short drive to many beautiful beaches. The home has all the basic necessities and it was nice to be able to do laundry so we didnt have to overpack for a short trip
I am very happy with this property. It had a nice setup. There was plenty of space in the home. It was very clean and had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend this property and maybe even stay again. Thanks again!!
New rental listing , new flip could use some improvement
great location. 2 bedrooms are decent sized. Seems to be a new rental and feel the owners are new to this. I communicated sink drain and full garbage to owner during stay and they replied they would take care of after I checked out. They did refund one night when my plans changed which was appreciated. Some issues with rental- bathroom sink didnât drain well, no instructions for heating/cooling/tv use which would help, garbage and recycling full, no seating on front porch (front porch needs some work), evidence of many ants/ant hills on front walk, ants at front door, in kitchen which need to be managed. Windows donât lock next to front door (or I couldnât get them locked after closing) Weirdly found a kitchen steak knife stashed under upper twin bunk which was unsettling. Electrical outlets in odd and inconvenient places. Keurig available but no starter pods so had to go to store.
