Lovely hotel - highly recommended.

The room was fantastic, very spacious and a lot of thought had gone into the decor. The bar and food was also lovely and the staff could not have been friendlier. I've scored 5 for everything except eco-friendliness, as I have an EV, a charger in the car park would have been very useful. Hotels of this quality are normally also much more expensive!

If we could give 6 stars we would! The service was impeccable. All the staff were obliging and attentive. Special mention to Steve. What a gentleman who went above and beyond to ensure our couple of nights here were enjoyable and that we had everything we needed. Also thanks to Emily. Polite, helpful and cheerful. She is very good at her job. All the staff were wonderful- bar staff, housekeeping and wait staff. Food was delicious. The rooms… after 5 months on the road traveling it ticked all the boxes. Parking, power points, fan(that actually works quietly), heater, coffee maker, comfortable bed and pillows, hooks to hang your towels the list goes on! Thank you for making our last nights on our journey comfortable and enjoyable.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms were motel style so open the door straight outside which was perfect as we had our 5month puppy with us. Dog friendly too, could take her into the pub. On arrival, in our room was a dog bed, two dog bowls, dog towel and a doggy welcome pack - great touch. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed. Good Wi-Fi (free), smart TV and a small fridge which was useful. The room was clean and tidy and despite being on a main road, it was quiet overnight. The staff in the attached pub were friendly and helpful. We ate both evenings in the pub, reasonably priced and varied menu. Some lovely local walks in the area which are advertised on the pub website. We will definitely stay here again, a gem of a place.

A very enjoyable stay

Clean, modern room with good shower, fridge, fresh milk, water and a good choice of teas and coffees. Good breakfast cooked to order. All in all, a very pleasant stay for one night and would return if in the area again.
