The bar was also good and although we didn't eat the food looked good. The hotel and bar are very dog friendly. Everyone was warm and welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay. "Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, spacious room, great shower. Food choice was good. Downside the amount of curry my wife had could of been more plentiful. My teriyaki fish needed more seasoning, I don't usually add salt or pepper to meals but in this case had to. Saying that my 2 friends steak and linguine was apparently lovely. The full English was exceptionally good and plentiful "

"The Pine Marten is very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel building is separate from the pub so no noise. The bedroom was clean with all facilities. The bed was (unlike in some hotels) very comfortable. Had continental breakfast each day at £6 odd. It was adequate but no yoghurt mixed with berries like at Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Also the music being played was dire . Funeral music "
