JAG St. John’s, NL

We recently stayed at the Jag Hotel in St. John’s and had a wonderful experience. Our room was in the older building, but it was still very comfortable, clean, and beautifully kept. The service throughout our stay was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. We did use the valet service, which comes with an extra charge, but it was convenient and well worth it. Although we didn’t get the chance to enjoy the hotel’s amenities this time, we look forward to trying them on our next visit. Overall, a great stay and we’d happily return!

The hotel itself was amazing! The staff, the food, the size of the rooms were great! It would’ve been nice if both elevators were working, but we found stairs. The location is not the best. I would advise not staying in a room facing Water Street as the water view is a shipyard that runs all through the night and it is very noisy with car/motorcycle traffic. It is a bit of a walk to the main part of town. The location feels unsafe, but there is a ton of security at entrances to the hotel. Would definitely advise valet parking, they are wonderful and quick and there has been street crime lately.

If cool was a hotel, the jag is definitely it! We were in “The Clash” room, the cleaning staff was great, the door guys were polite and professional. The bar and restaurant were chill, enjoyable. We travel constantly and this is one place we will go back to and never forget.

The Jag is nothing short of amazing. It is for those of us who enjoy unique boutique hotels. When you first walk into the door you know this is out of the ordinary. Staff are friendly, as one would expect in Newfoundland. The rooms are impeccably clean, service arrives at your door within minutes. It is a world class hotel. And if you enjoy, as I do, rock music, this is the place for you.

Very interesting decor, great staff. Getting between both buildings and the elevators is quite difficult with 5 doorways (no auto)and awkward corners if you have a luggage cart or multiple bags. Other than that it’s a great central place close to down town sights and entertainment.
