Check in took over an hour. Front desk kept answering calls and giving unnecessary information to guest (for example children pool hours for someone who confirmed they had no children). Maybe had 12-15 people infront of us for checkin and it took over an hour to get our keys. We had stopped in at the hotel at 4pm (check in time ) and saw a line and decided to come back at 4:40 pm to give it time to die down. Did not get into the room until almost 6.

First 2 days for house keeping was good, after that from Sunday until Thursday it was just okay. Bed not made correctly, rugs not vaccummed nor was the counter wiped. Limited amount of food in restaurant and the service was not great. Nothing got vegetarians nor willing to accommodate. Room service was bad. Never got cutlery and the panko fish was about 2 seconds from being burnt. How I, the valet service was amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Jag, it's like a Vegas Hotel right in the downtown area of St John's. Easy walk to George St and Water St. Parking can be a challenge sometimes, you can park on the street or valet parking is available for a fee. You can park overnight in the 2 hr max zones without being ticketed I have been told, and we did that for our 3 night stay.

The JAG (St. John’s) has a really cool vibe, with music playing all the time, a lounge that looks like it’s from a movie, and lots of really neat rock and roll memorabilia. The rooms are clean, modern, and also have memorabilia. The location is amazing-an easy walk to the lively George St.

The stay was incredible! Really enjoyed the location and the room. There was a blood stain on the duvet that I noticed in the morning and there was a smoke detector outside the room that was beeping all night but overall really enjoyed the stay.

Parking was an issue. Didn’t have room for our vehicle. First night they stated that the parking lot was full and we had to park on the street. Second night we were given a parking permit, but still was given a spot on the street. Valet parking advertised, which is one of the reasons we chose the Jag over other properties. Very disappointing. We have stayed here several times with no issue.

I think this hotel is advertised a little better than it is. Nice amenities and bars and is in a great location. Absolutely no ventilation in my room with mold in the bathroom and the room service food was pretty gross. Also, not 1 show in two weeks in July at the hotel.

I was only in this hotel for one night but I wish it was longer. Great staff that were very helpful and had good recommendations. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel lobby was enough but the bar upstairs was unreal. Great atmosphere everywhere and loved the decor throughout. I will definitely be back for longer because I would have loved to check out the spa and pool.
