Where hospitality meets style in Stowe

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Field Guide Lodge in Stowe. The room was cozy and spotless, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious. Aiden and the whole team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We truly felt like royalty. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, and the location is perfect for exploring the area. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Stowe.

The room we had was private and perfect for our anniversary getaway. We had a bottle of champagne in our room when we arrived with a Happy Anniversary card! The breakfasts were delicious and the bar was a fun hangout! We were able to walk everywhere and easily rent bikes across the street. We had a great time and will definitely stay there again!

Decor was great, functionality could use some help

The hotel was nice. Very uniquely decorated. The beds were comfortable. There was a small continental breakfast which was a nice surprise and some chocolate chip cookies, coffee and tea in our room. We got there late, so the front desk people sent us instruction on how to get inside the lobby to retrieve our keys. The parking lot is pretty dark, so it was hard to figure out where to go. I had to upgrade at the last minute due to my daughter coming with us. I had emailed several times to request a different room, but they never responded. I finally called. I had to pay $130 extra for this room. I felt like this was a little excessive for what we got. We only stayed one night. There were a few things that kinda didn't work. The a/c in the bedroom was kinda loud and blowed really strong. The bedroom door opened into the king size bed which made it a little awkward to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. And there was a decorative tree stump in front of the bathtub which made it kinda weird to get out of the tub. There was no a/c vent in the living room, only the bedroom and the bathroom. If we would have stayed more than 1 night, it would have probable been a big deal. Especially the a/c. But, for 1 night, no biggie. The original room I booked was probably worth the money, but I would not stay here again in the same room.

Field Guide Lodge is beautiful! Our room is amazing! Love sitting by the fireplace on this rainy day to warm up after walking around town! Super close to town and lots of restaurants with a movie theater across the street! The staff was super friendly and explained everything in detail!

Good stay but could be better

Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel. The room was clearly designed with Instagram in mind—stylish, trendy, and perfect for photos. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with plenty of variety and great flavor. That said, there were a few downsides. The bathroom was very small—barely enough room to move around—which was a bit inconvenient. After the bar closed, there didn’t seem to be any staff available, which made it hard to get assistance late at night. Also, the hot tub closed surprisingly early, which was disappointing. Despite these issues, I enjoyed my stay and would consider coming back, especially for the cozy bed and great breakfast. A few small adjustments would make this a top-tier experience.

This is a great property to stay in. There was a restaurant right across the street one a little ways down that you could walk to and plenty of options a short drive away. I would have given that hotel five stars except the building we stayed and did not have an elevator, and we were older people that had to carry our luggage up and down two flights upstairs to our hotel room
