Warm and welcoming, Caryn the host provides everything necessary for a wonderful visit! The homemade breakfasts are outstanding! Our room was spotless with a comfy bed
Outstanding, but needs to arrange for snow removal
We had a great time at the Maplecroft Bed and breakfast in Barre, Vermont. Our host was very accomodating and the room and breakfast were both outstanding. There was a big snowstorm while we were there, which required me to sweep off/shovel out my own car (to which I would never object). However, we then left for the day and I wonder what might have happened if we had returned and found someone else in the parking spot we had shoveled out, requiring us to do it all over again. No other guest did this job, as they were likely leaving and not returning (it was Sunday, but we were staying another night and leaving Monday). I would recommend that Maplercroft should arrange to have spaces cleared on such days, as guests (some of whom might be elderly or disabled) should not have to shovel out their own parking spaces (although they should sweep off their own cars). A wal-behind snowblowere or a pickup with a plow would do the job fine. I repeat, however, that we had a great time, we were hosted very well and that this establishment is first rate.
Itâs a beautiful historical house turned b&b at the perfect location for Vermont lovers.
The breakfast was our highlight of stay! The homemade muffins and a good conversation along with a strong cup of coffee makes you want to come back for more.
Gorgeous period B&B, and Caryn, the owner, takes the "bed" and "breakfast" of a stay seriously, with a Quality mattress/bedding and breakfast from scratch recipes with homemade bread.
Walked right across street for good food, and several others a short walk or drive away...local businesses who care about your service ( not chain restaurants).
Would stay here again whenever in area!
Thank you, CarynâĄ
