At checking I was surprised to being offered a 2 beds room while I paid for a king bed room!! Had to insist to reverse that.

The location of this property is really great for shopping, places to eat, and close enough to many other activities and sights. However, the person that checked me in was pompous, passively aggressively rude, and very unhelpful. He left me just standing at the front desk for way beyond necessary, said my room wasn’t ready, then said it was, said there was no menu for the in house restaurant in the room, but I could go look at the menu on the board at the restaurant entrance. A second new worker, who was trying to cover for the rude one, apologized saying he didn’t know if any menus were available. The person checking me in did not offer directions to my room or the elevator, which is a hike from the front lobby! And when I got to the room, there on the desk was a very nice menu booklet which also informed me there was room service!! Seems like room service is a lovely amenity that should have been mentioned. The room was clean and comfortable, but the hotel is like a maze! And the staff do not know their way around enough to truly help. If you are on the second floor, getting your luggage, and/or yourself for that matter if you don’t handle stairs well, is ridiculous! The swimming pool was overall basic and nice. The hot tub/jacuzzi was disgusting, filthy ( complete with a black slim/mold covered bottom, and places along the sides), and did not work. When I checked out, I had an absolutely lovely person! Marriott is usually really great, but this property is a hard pass!

Elevators are nowhere near the entrance.
Room felt very damp even with the AC running. Clean hotel. The hotel’s restaurant “Dukes” closes at 9:30pm. I went in and was sat at 9:07 by one of the waitstaff. She let the bartender know she had an order to which he said “always just before we close” then he said “you’re getting food? Kitchen is closing up in 15 minutes”. I said not anymore, and left. Asked for the manager to give me a call after. Never did. Most of the stuff you see in the pictures is barely accurate. The nice chair setup with a gazebo was a joke. Grass way over grown, vines and weeds overtaking the structure. It is also where everyone congregated to smoke so it smells horrible back there. The outdoor patio is in the front of the hotel, was closed the entire time even though it wasn’t raining. It’s just not what it looks like at all. THE POOL! I almost forgot the pool!! You can’t see the bottom of the pool or hot tub!! Like it is cloudy as hell. DISGUSTING! Plus once you walk in the pool area you’ll be bombed with chlorine anyway, because that is what they consider a well kept pool. Spend your money elsewhere.

The hotel was 5 minutes away from the airport, under 10 minutes from downtown Burlington and very clean and easy. Good coffee and bottle water in the room. No complaints.
