Room was not clean. It smelled like smoke and there was something splattered all over the bathroom door. The hydration station was a nice concept, but in the 2 nights and 3 days i was there it did not get replenished. And the dispenser for water/sparkling water had substance all over the spout.

The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The shower pressure varied to almost to a dribble a few times, but it came back quickly. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. The Sunday brunch was delicious.

The property is generally well-maintained and in a great location. We selected this hotel because of this and what appeared to be a lovely pool. It was quite disappointing to arrive and discover the pool was out of service. That amenity was important to us. If we had known the pool was closed, we would have stayed somewhere else. They were not proactive about informing us in advance, which would have been helpful to reset expectations with our kids. They did proactively reach out after we checked-in to ask how our stay was. I let them know about our disappointment. They explained it was an unplanned closure and asked what they could do. I didn't ask for a discount or a free meal. I asked for a late-afternoon checkout—an easy win for them. All they were willing to provide was an additional hour. I rarely complain about service. This hotel could—and should — have done better.
