We got stuck with a room in the old motel addition which was very outdated and noisy. The beds were so sunken in that my back hurt all night. We were awoken at 6am by fire alarms and had to stand outside in the cold. No one told us what was going on. We had to ask the fire department (who came 30 minutes later). We go to bed finally and in the morning there is NO water. We had to shower in other rooms. We should have received a partial refund for a horrible night, but none was offered. All we got were apologies.

I had booked 3 rooms and was most excited about our stay at this property. They gave us the rooms in this building called Sports Wing, which is cut off from the main building and is more like staff quarters. The rooms were dark, dinghy, cold and smelling. Carpets were filthy. They had no housekeeping-PERIOD. At the time of booking, no where did it give any info about this separate building. DO NOT BOOK OR STAY IN THE SPORTS WING - even for free. Extremely disappointed, as I had guests from overseas. In fact, one of them even commented “ didn’t know there were such bad hotels in the USA.” We paid close to $275/night. The ultimate shame was that the breakfast was served in the lobby with barely seating for 20 people, when the capacity of the hotel must be over 100 guests. Breakfast too was pathetic. Do a lil research before getting stuck in this cess pool.

The resort was very comfortable and close to places to eat. They had a continental breakfast. The fireplace in the lobby was usually burning to take the edge off the crisp mornings. Staff were friendly.

This resort was very old and run down. Very outdated style and mattress was so old it rolled both my husband and I to the center- which it’s fine to snuggle but we had to struggle to have some room out of the hole in the center. Breakfast was more grab and go but the people there were awesome and very friendly!!! The resort does say renovations coming soon so hopefully that helps!

The property was under construction. Restaurant was not open. This would have been good information to have. The spa was also not open. The spa was a major factor in my booking so I am sure you understand my disappointment when it was closed.
