Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t offer breakfast this year. Last year we had a ‘box’ breakfast at our door and it was very good. The fan in the bathroom was loud, the room, although a great size, was missing finishing touches.

Blatant lies. Hotels.com misrepresented this dive totally. No parking included. No restaurant. Not even a lousey elevator. Tried to do the stairs with my cane and ended up leaving 30 min after checking in. Don't waste your money!

It is a very old hotel with extremely creaky floors. We could hear everyone walking and talking on the stairs, above us, beside us and in the hall. We asked for late checkout, placed the do not disturb sign on the door, and yet, housekeeping knocked at two different times. The second time they knocked, they immediately tried to enter our room. When my husband spoke to them the second time, they were rude and told us that we had to be out by noon, when the front desk clerk had told us 12:30. We will never stay here again.

The suite was beautiful. No breakfast as no restaurant available. There are a few things that could be improved such as a bigger tv on the wall. As well, there was no ice maker available and the shower should have had a light inside. All in all, for an old building it was done up beautifully. Easy access to.parking anf getting around by foot and vehicle. Very quiet. Thanks so much!

Cute room that was very conveniently located to the Avon Theatre and restaurants. Clean and nice staff. Also thoroughly enjoyed the espresso machine and wine glasses available in the room.

Room was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The elevator was out of order and since we were on the top floor, they carried our luggage both to and from our rooms. The hotel is a grand old building with a beautiful curved staircase, crown moulding, and even an original wall painting in our mini suite. This is architecture that you don't get in chain hotels.

What a nice hotel. They are a bit under construction and the elevator was out if service. This didn't impact me at all but could be a surprise fir someone with a lot of luggage or with mobility issues. Fantastic location. The room was clean and comfortable. I'm glad I stayed in the mini-suite. Highly recommend!

The following was missing from the Expedia description- under construction, no elevator, no food service. Expedia read the clients reviews and explain how you and the industry let’s vendors not update clearly their advertising on their product. Is it mandatory now for them to have an accurate pitch. Get your act together and shame on the owners and managers of the Windsor Hotel Stratford for choosing to mislead the public.

The historic property is in the process of being renovated, but unfortunately, we and our friends got the last 2 rooms which had not been updated. The bathroom was cramped, the bathtub faucets were "wonky", and the toilet was difficult to flush. The bed sheets in our friend's room were stained (ours were not); the sheets in both rooms were thin. The best aspects for us were the mattresses (very comfortable), and the friendly and helpful staff. Because we were in the last two rooms available (which had not yet been upgraded), we could have been given a lower room rate than the $250.00 that we paid for each room. Advise future visitors to ensure that they will get a renovated room.

I cannot begin to say how disappointed we were with this property. Pictures online are very deceptive. The elevator does not work. The room itself is indescribably ugly. Tiny bathroom but thank goodness the bed was comfortable. People walking on bare floors in the hall and upstairs was a steady annoyance. There is no breakfast. No dining room and even the mini bar was empty but for 2 cans of coke. How can this hotel rate any stars? I guess because it is central? We paid for an upgraded room expecting far more. Looking online, prices were $200 less than what we paid online through Expedia. Why? I would strongly suggest avoiding the Victoria Hotel in Stratford Ontario. I know we will!
