The staff are very welcoming & helpful. The location is great between two metro stations so to get around was easy. There are also lots of shops & restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious & there's a coffee machine in the corridor so you can help yourself. We skipped breakfast as it was a delivery with limited choice. The WiFi was generally ok, did have periods when it cutout every now & then.

Best location

Location location location! Everything is really close including the train line, 2 Sogo malls, all the best eats and shops. Hotel itself is clean and well kept but very outdated. Paint was peeling off the walls in our bathroom but on the plus side, the toiletries were all Loccitane! Free water bottles in the rooms. Breakfast i didn’t care much for, no buffet and limited seating in the dining area so it’s always crowded and we ended up eating in our rooms. You only have a choice of 1 food item and 1 drink, either McDonald’s sandwiches/bagels or Traditional chinese breakfast which was not very good. You can always go outside for breakfast since everything is so close. Otherwise we will definitely stay here again. Good value for money.

I've probably stayed at this hotel 8 or 9 times since 2022 — it's officially become my go-to whenever I'm in Taiwan. After trying a few other hotels in the area (I really like this location), this one won me over for good. This trip was extra special, as my family and my brother's family came together (to attend cousin's wedding). As always, the staff were welcoming and helpful, making check-in and our stay smooth and pleasant. The hotel is always clean and well-kept, even though it’s a bit older than some of the newer ones nearby. I appreciate how consistent the quality and service have been with each stay. Just a heads-up for new guests: as of 2025, they no longer provide complimentary toiletries, so plan accordingly.

10 days in Taipei and loved staying here. It’s occupying two floors of a mixed-use building which is quite popular in Taipei. The staff was excellent in recommending places to get what I wanted. Daily breakfast is pre ordered and brought to the lobby for pick up. (Taiwanes breakfast or McDonalds) there’s an eating area with tea and coffee. The neighborhood is lively with many eateries including DinTaiFung. Many SOGO department stores as well. I would stay again if on a budget. Just don’t pick the rooms without windows.

Loved my stay at this hotel. Room: clean, comfortable, updated, view. Comfortable seating area with all day self service coffee (very important to me). Excellent location, able to walk almost everywhere. Plenty of food and shopping near by. Metro stations are steps away. Would stay here again.

Great Panorama Suite

The entrance to the building was hard to find but once we got to their simple front desk, check in was in less than 2 minutes! Our room was the panorama suite. Good for 4. With Japanese toilet and separate sink and shower which was very convenient and saved us time getting ready. Nice L'occitane products! No conditioner though. Our floor (we were on the 13th, lobby was on the 14Th) had a common area with free flowing drinking water, a sink a coffee machine.and some toiletries. No toothbrushes though so make sure you bring your own. Wish they had a microwave though! All in all our stay at the Eastin Taipei was pleasant, the staff friendly and efficient. Will stay here again if I were ever to visit Taipei again.
