Property is new with a modern design, rooms are basically one bedroom suites that are HUGE with a kitchen containing a full sized refrigerator and microwave. Very clean and well maintained. The suites and the roominess they provide are a rare find in Taipei. Great for long term stays.
But the whole place feels a bit TOO sterile. No warmth. It’s as if the hardware is excellent, but lacking in compatible software. I understand carpeting gets dirty and some people may have allergies, but not to have any carpeting at all? There is a large rug at reception in the lobby and carpeting in the hallways, and I think it would make a world of difference if they had a nice 5x7 rug or something in the living room area in the units. Just something to counter the cold feeling of the concrete, glass, laminate hardwood floors and generally monotone light color scheme of the rooms. There’s like only one piece of artwork on the walls, and it didn’t really feel like art as it was just some Chinese characters. It feels like I moved into an apartment that just finished constructed - waiting to be decorated. Add to that the property is surrounded by office buildings, so it just feels...industrial. Not homey. I appreciate the fridge being stocked with a small cans of Coca Cola and sports drink. And there was even ice cream in the freezer. All complimentary with plenty of complimentary drinking water. To have a few pieces of fresh fruit in the room upon arrival would help ease the industrial feel.
