Value for money

The hotel is located in a multi-storey building together with an assortment of other tenants. You need to locate this building and go up to 11th floor for the reception. The room is windowless and is typically furnished like an Asian hotel with slippers, hair dryer, safe, fridge and complete toiletries. There is a large area behind the reception with self service laundry, coffee machine, basic bread and jam and seating places. Excellent value for money. The possible down side is the poor design of the elevator system (too many floors and no service lifts for service staff) leading to long waiting time.

Staff were extremely accommodating and helpful with arranging airport transportation and check in at night. They upgraded me to a family suite with a window which was lovely. Rooms are on the smaller size but more than sufficient space, rooms and linens are clean and comfortable with refreshment and basic toiletries offered in room. Hotel is in perfect location for travellers being directly across from Taipei main station, with plenty of shops, restaurants and tourist sites nearby. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

It is located right across the Taipei train station on the blue MRT line so it was super convenient to go places from the hotel. It was a little hard to find because it was in a mixed commercial building. The staff cleaned our room every day. My husband found a smudge mark on the pillow and that gave me doubt to their cleaniness. The price is good though.

Quality matching the price

The stay was alright, the quality was consistent with the low price so cannot complain too much. The location is fantastic, situated in the blue and red metro lines. The hotel itself is an office building, and uses mostly LED lighting which is rather darkish throughout. No windows. The walls are thin so you can hear the next room TV or people talking. There is a layer of old dust in the wall cracks and small holes so they haven't done a deep cleaning in a while. The hotel staff are efficient, no complaints there.

Only positive thing about this property is the location. Negatives: 1. cramped rooms needing maintenance and updates, e.g. doors that wouldn't lock and air conditioners and that don't work; 2. wait times for elevators can stretch into the 10 minute mark; 3. while laundry is advertised as free, during our stay, only two washers and dryers were working for the entire hotel; 4. surly staff who obviously didn't care about guests and could not bothered to even look up from whatever they're doing to answer a question. Disappointed and will not return.

1. Noisy. Can hear conversations from the hallway and next room. 2. My biggest gripe was the elevators. Only 4 elevators can reach the room floors. Elevators were slow and therefore usually packed. Could take 15 to 20 minutes to get on one during peak hours (morning and evening). 3. Carpet in the room was dark.. and did not look clean and the carpet had this humid, stuffy smell.
