It can be inconvenient if your room is on a higher floor, as you’ll need to carry your bags either up the stairs or use a small, slow elevator. On the positive side, the beds are comfortable.

You can tell this used to be a pretty good hostel and there are still some great things about it. However, it needs some tlc (tender loving care) to get it back up to par. Based on photos we saw, it looks like the lobby used to have a place to sit and change your shoes. That would be great, since you have to remove your shoes before entering each time. The carpets in the hall and stair areas need work. Staff seems to store cleaning supplies, bags of linens and other things along the all the guest hallways. Our beds were awesome! So comfortable! Nice big window in our room looking out at the park. The a/c worked to cool our room on hot humid days. The room could use a little storage for toiletries and small items and also a small closet. The two tiny table/desk areas needed cleaning.

Friendly staffs. Great location - red line (national hospital station) within ard 2mins walking distance; green line (ximen station) and blue line / express airport train line (taipei main station) are within 7mins walking distance. Clean and showers are superb!

Experience stay at Sunny

The rooms is clean, staffs are helpful. Location is near MRT. Near by have many foods store to eat. Overall Excellent. It will be good if their Wi-Fi system can have single Wi-Fi system instead of group by level. So that can use the Single Wi-Fi system to access every where. If the rooms have single story double beds definitely is a plus.

Sunny Hostel was an amazing accommodation choice! The staff were helpful and nice, the location was a quick 3 min walk through a park to the closest MRT station, and the room was exactly as pictured and described! Definitely would recommend Sunny Hostel!

Great stay, highly recommend

Greeted by super friendly staff at the reception and helpful giving suggestions on where to go. The room was a good size and clean, and had a great view of the park. Location is excellent, a short walk from the mrt station through the park. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Great stay!

Sunny Hostel was in a great location (about 10 minutes walking from Taipei Main Station) and close by 228 Park, plenty of restaurants and cafes. You don't wear shoes into the hotel and they provide slippers so that makes us feel like we are at home. The bathroom and room were very clean and comfortable. The kitchen area is nicely equipped (tableware, refrigerator, appliances) as well.

Good for family

Stayed for 2 nights. Clean room that feels new and fresh. Kids loved the giant bunk bed. I loved that it overlooked the greenery on the Peace Park. Convenient location near eateries, attractions and amenities. 3 min walk across the park from NTU metro which is on the red line to Shilin, Xiangshan, Taipei Main Station. Staff is friendly and very helpful - we needed to find a Watson’s one evening and they helped us check the location and operation hours of the nearest outlet, we needed recommendations for lunch on our last day and they showed us the way to a Michelin mentioned beef noodle outlet. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay in Taipei

We stayed here for 5 nights. This hostel is really good, comfy and clean. The location is also good. We can walk to MRT in 3 minutes. Their staff has best service-minded. We are really appreciated. We would recommend this hostel to everyone.

Nice hostel, budget, and very good staff

Great location

Just one night for us. Easy access by public transport from airport. Safe neighborhood. Peace Park across street. Staff was great and even delivered a beer when we asked where we could get one. It just appeared. Cold!!

The overall experience was pretty nice. Great staff, clean room, good coin laundry machines, and convenient location. Very sturdy and cozy bunkbeds, reliable air-conditioning. Great for non-smokers travelling with no pets. Highly recommended. Will book again if to return to Taipei.

Happy experience at Sunny Hostel!

I travelled Taipei for four days and stayed at Sunny Hostel for three nights. This is a definitely one of the best travel experiences I have ever had! I can say that Sunny Hostel is the best option you can choose given the price. Regardless of the price, its overall quality is definitely not worse than a very nice hotel (where you should pay at least triple...). It also has an elevator-small but very comfortable. Everything is very clean (bathroom and bed) and their service is very impressive (air-conditioner and wifi work perfectly)! Very kind and supportive. This morning, a staff knocked on my door and informed me that there is a construction outside so it would be a little noisy! She used Korean (Yes I am a Korean) and it was perfect! You will never regret your choice if you stay here at Taipei. Two thumbs up!!

Nice hotel value for money

Strategically located. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to many popular point of interest and 5 minutes walk to the nearest mrt. Beside the slow lift, everything is about just nice.

A Pleasant Experience

As expected for a hostel, a little cramped but the friendliness of staff more than made up for it. Location was excellent and cleanliness of the place was up to standards. Would definitely choose to go back again!
