Check in process was friendly and seamless (thank you Jessie for the room upgrade for a better view of city)! Lobby was indeed grand (live piano music was a beautiful addition). Hotel shuttle to and from Yuanshan train station was very convenient. Room was nice - however recommend stocking room with more clothes hangars, plates, silverware. Standard pillows were uncomfortable - good thing I saw the pillow menu (charcoal pillow was much better). Recommend separate shampoo and conditioner (not combined). Underground tour was not that enjoyable because tour guide spoke in Mandarin - recommend offering 2 tours (Mandarin and English). Swimming pool and gym required taking a shuttle so we didnt get to see that part of the hotel unfortunately. Overall all hotel were friendly and welcoming (except the mean lady working as barista in afternoon of July 29, 2025). Hope to stay at Grand Hotel next time we are in Taipei!

The building is magnificent, clean, historic. The room is very well maintained, breakfast is great but not beyond expectation. Consignee service is great, and door keepers are super friendly, helping me open taxi door. Gym is great, provide clean towels and the staff is friendly to open and close doors for me. The tour guide for the underground tunnel did a great job. Overall, wonderful experience. Definitely will live in here again when i visit Taipei

The Grand Hotel has a lot to offer. They were very courteous with their services and offer very professional and respectful stay for my elderly parents and I. We stayed five nights and took some time to enjoy Yuan Yuan Club to relax before our long flight home. Wonderful experience.
