"I had a wonderful stay at Residence Hotel Takayama Station. The location is extremely convenient—right next to the JR train station and bus terminal, making it easy to get anywhere. Despite this, the room was very quiet thanks to the double-glazed sliding doors; I couldn’t hear any train or bus noise at all. The hotel is within short walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets, and local attractions. Everything was very clean, and the reception staff were gentle, courteous, and always greeted guests with friendly smiles. The room layout is well designed, with cooking and washing facilities available. I especially appreciated the door separating the kitchen from the bedroom, so there were no lingering cooking smells. The toilet is also in a separate room from the bathroom, which is a big plus. Even though it was very cold outside, the room was warm and cosy. "Room was very clean and comfortable. Futons on elevated platform provided a warm, soft and cozy sleeping space. All employees were polite, helpful and courteous. Public bath was well-maintained, clean and had subdued lighting for a peaceful soak. Pajamas and slippers provided. Family Mart 24 hours next door, old town very close and fun to shop for souvenirs. Can't wait to come back in springtime. "
