Empire Lakeshore Inn was a basic property / hotel. The room and bathroom were small and tight making it difficult for an average person to use and feel comfortable. There were no amenities. It was noisy (able to hear other travelers and vehicles), and squeaky floors making it difficult to sleep. It was really overrated and not a value for travelers.

Very beautiful place! Empire is a very beautiful village. This place exceed my expectations. Amazing room in a beautiful building. Could not be easier to find either. Checking in was a bit different because there was no staff there but it made checking in easy and quick. I could not be happier with this stay.

The room was very clean and updated. The area was nice, but we had a diesel engine running non stop across the street as they were doing some kind of construction. The walls seem to be thin as I could hear the next room hanging their clothes up (the sound of metal hangers hitting the rod). The ceiling must be as thin as it was very loud up stairs for hours. I’m just glad it all stopped around 10 so I could sleep. Overall the staff was kind and gave good service.

A nice setting close to the sights at the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Motel rooms were quiet and clean.

Travelocity overbooked the room . We were turned away with no options. No response from Travelocity. Will never use Travelocity again.Do not trust them after this experience. Not worth any hotel savings for the frustration.

The village of Empire is charming and the beach is very nice. The motel is not really within walking distance of the beach. Our room was plenty big. Nice that it has a mini fridge, microwave,and Keurig. The motel has very thin walls...you can hear everything. The window unit air conditioner when kicking on sounds like a freight train coming through the wall. We were in room 102 right next to the "office" and in the middle of the night on our first night the washer and dryer kept us up. The bathroom door did not shut. There is no ice machine on this property. Had to go across main road, behind gas station to other hotel property to access ice machine.Will not be staying here ever again or recommending it to others.
