Sleeps 6-8 persons. Welcome to the Lakeview Cottage on beautiful Arbutus Lake. Our cottage is located on the four acres of Pineview Resort with 300ft of sandy private beach frontage (guests and owners only) as well as a large sandy swim area. Arbutus Lake is an all sports lake which is perfect for boating, skiing, fishing or paddling. We have a private boat launch and dock space is available for your boat/pontoon. Kayaks are also available to our renters free of charge. Other amenities at your cottage include a private fire pit with seating, picnic table and private deck with table and chairs as well as a NEW large propane grill for cooking outside. Enjoy partial lake views while you relax with coffee on the deck for sunrise or enjoy your meal at multiple outdoor tables for dining al fresco. The lake/beach area is located about 75 steps downhill from the cottage, just follow the designated path. Sleep well in one of the 3 bedrooms. There is also a futon couch that can transform into a bed for extra sleeping accommodations. You may also enjoy the resorts shared amenities such as a beach fire pit, beach chairs and swim platform as well as plenty of spots to fish from and a private playground and basketball court for kids. Lakeview is only a 15 minute drive to downtown Traverse City for many great dining and shopping options. We are also close to the upper portion of the boardman river and brownbridge quiet area for hiking and river adventures. Also near by is Ranch Rudolf for horseback riding and river canoe/kayak rentals. Whether you are looking for fun in the sun or a relaxing time by the lake, we are certain you will enjoy your vacation with us.

Great outdoor area!
We had a lovely stay at this property. The pictures do not do the newly updated outside justice. We loved the new fire pit and seating area! The beds were super comfortable and we appreciated all the outlets, drawers, and places to hang clothes. As others have noted the shower is small, but workable. The weather wasn’t super during our visit so we would have appreciated more seating than the kitchen table chairs and futon in the small living room. Great location with easy access to beach, kayaks, and playground. There was a couple things I would have appreciated having when we checked in (dish soap, a box of tissues) but the stores are within 10-15 minute drive so easy to get.

Quiet and Clean, but shower is uncomfortable
This house is up on a hill within the resort. I was under the impression is was right on the water. You can see the water from the deck (through trees), but its at the bottom of a hill. It is nice and quiet, and plenty of shade. Very nice fire pit and outdoor seating.
The house was clean and the beds comfortable. The shower was the worst part. It is like showering in a phone booth, it is super small. Not much can be done about it. It was clean and in good shape, but no way a female could shave legs in it.
An improvement the owners could make is to put some mirrors in the bedrooms. There is only 1 mirror in the house above the bathroom sink. Also, it would be nice if the owners provided 2 towels and 2 washcloths per person since it does not have laundry on site.
The futon in the living room fits maybe 2 adults and 1 kid, so there is not a lot of room to hang out and watch tv at night. TV's in the bedrooms would be nice.
Overall we had a nice time, and my daughter loved the playground.

A peaceful and enjoyable week
The beach was perfect for small children, and adequate for older people who can swim out into deeper water if they want to.
The water is very clear. Kayaks and canoe available to paddle from lake to lake.
Quiet, peaceful, secure, beautiful location on a northern wooded lake.
Adequate space between cottages. Very well equipped, clean cottage. Owner attentive to any needs as they arise. Great place to spend a relaxing week!
