Blue Haven Pointe is a luxury rental home located minutes from Shanty Creek Golf and Ski Resort, Schuss Mountain, Torch Lake, and Grass River Natural Area. Turtle Creek Casino and Flintfields Horse Park are a 30 minute drive. Five wooded acres with over 800 feet of private shoreline and beach on Lake of the Woods, a 150 acre, all-sports, but peaceful lake provide a serene setting for your next getaway.
Blue Haven Pointe is a very well-appointed home, with over 600 feet of covered second story deck for entertaining and dining, and equal amount of patio underneath. The home comes with 5 bedrooms, 4 full and 1 half bath, and sleeping for 18 guests in beds, (6 Queen and 6 single). Windows on three sides of the upstairs and downstairs living areas greet guests with stunning water views. Every bedroom has a water view, and the large master suite has a private balcony and sunrise view.
Brand new ductless heating and air conditioning provide comfort throughout the house. Modern furnishings grace the house with a touch of class. The dining room table seats 10, with additional inside and outside seating. Two magnificent fireplaces take center stage in the upstairs and downstairs living areas, as well as an outdoor fire pit for those endless summer evenings. Two 65” 4k Roku TV with YouTube streaming services are available and include all major networks. Guests can also access their personal streaming channels. Starlink satelite internet is available for guest use. Large game table for family game night!
Blue Haven Pointe comes with two full kitchens complete with both indoor and outdoor cooking grills, and a large electric griddle for those family pancake breakfasts or evening hamburgers. The kitchens provide two microwaves, two large refrigerators, two dishwashers, two cooktops, a wine cooler, coffee makers and Keurig, with plenty of dishes in both kitchens.
A beautifully renovated outdoor fire pit and gathering area complete with seating for larger groups and large stone steps to the dock.
Blue Haven Pointe comes with free use of 4 kayaks, a canoe, and a pedal boat, with a private dock for fishing and swimming pleasure. There is a private beach in an isolated cove (The Blue Lagoon), complete with a new lounging patio to watch the children play in the pure Michigan water. Lake of the Woods has a public boat launch for smaller boats. If you prefer larger water, the Lake Bellaire boat launch is just 5 minutes away with full access to Torch Lake and the lower chain of lakes. When ready to relax for the evening, return to Blue Haven Pointe and listen to the loons and watch the resident eagles around the lake.
With its large paved parking area, the home will easily accommodate 8 vehicles, with boat turnaround and RV parking available as well.

Blue Haven Pointe is in close proximity to the following attractions.
- 10 minutes from 108 holes of amazing golf courses, including the Arnold Palmer “Legend” course, as well as Hawk’s Eye, and the Chief. It is a golfer’s paradise!
- Less than 10 minutes from Schuss Mountain Ski Resort and Shanty Creek Resort.
- 30 minutes to Flintfields Horse Park, home of the Traverse City Horse Shows and Lakes Equestrian Festival.
- 30 minutes to Turtle Creek Casino.
- Five minutes to quaint downtown Bellaire, complete with the famous Shorts Brewing Company and other shops and restaurants.
- 10 minutes to lovely Alden, and the shops along Torch Lake.
- Five minutes to the hiking trails of Grass River recreational area for nature hiking.
- 15 minutes to Glacier Springs recreational area for mountain biking and fat tire winter bike trails.
- 15 minutes to snowmobile trail access.
- 40 minutes to Traverse City, Charlevoix, or Boyne City for those pure Michigan day trips.
- 10 minutes to the Bellaire municipal airport.

What a find! This house and the location exceeded our expectations. It is off the beaten path but still close enough to everything. The views are breathtaking! Water on 3 sides of the deck. The house was clean and very well stocked with everything that we needed. We took advantage of the kayaks on a beautiful and peaceful morning, and I am so glad that we did. The host was great. He called the morning of our arrival to give us specific directions to the house (GPS only gets you part of the way there). I can't say enough great things about our trip and this house. We enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend.

We had an awesome time with our family (7 adults and 6 kids). The views are awesome and we enjoyed jumping off the dock to swim, fishing and taking out the kayaks and paddleboat. The house was stocked with a lot of toilet paper, paper towel, and all sorts of towels (beach, bathroom and kitchen). Host are proactive and responsive. Highly recommended!

The home is on a point with180 degree views of the peaceful lake. The water was relatively warm and we loved kayaking and swimming. The firepit was a gathering place each evening for the whole extended family. We had one leak under the sink but the host came quickly and replaced the whole faucet. They had plenty of supplies like paper towels and TP plus tons of dishes and kitchen tools. The A/C units were a relief from the humidity. We didn't use the basement kitchen but it's pretty amazing.

Little piece of paradise

Look no further you have found your VRBO. Hard to find words to describe this gorgeous home and property. The home is comfortable and has everything one would need in an upscale fashion. The home was immaculate and located on a very quiet lake. The property managers were very accommodating!!!!!

Hard to Beat for a big Family Gathering!

It was the perfect combination of peaceful tranquility for parents and fun for the kids. Great venue for a large family gathering. We ranged in age from toddlers-to-teens-to-parents-to-grandparents. We felt like we had a good-sized lake pretty much to ourselves. Swimming, fishing, kayaks and peddle boat. Room to spread out indoors and an incomparable upper deck overlooking the lake. Remote feeling but quick access to Bellaire for groceries, restaurants, shopping, etc. Rustic yet classy. Hard to beat, we loved it.

Great location, but a few quirks

This property is in a gorgeous, secluded location. The host provided lots of amenities, such as kayaks, s'mores sticks/firepit and plenty of stacked wood, paddle boat, life jackets, etc. Having two kitchens for our large group was fantastic! The boat room is also a fun place for kids (with three beds + three trundles). The house is a little more dated than we realized (particularly the lower level) and was damp and a bit musty. And the bathroom situation is sort of deceiving on the listing/pictures. There are four full bathrooms, but two of them can only be accessed through the master bedroom. So three of the bedrooms in the basement share one bathroom, which was a bit awkward for three adult couples. Communication with the host was excellent once we arrived, but I had asked several questions prior to arrival that were never addressed. Overall we had a nice stay, but when you pay this level of price, the expectations are a little higher.

Wonderful ski weekend with family

Everything went very smoothly from booking to departure. It was a very nice home, we had everything we needed. It was very spacious, clean and convenient to all the snow activities we had planned. We made a lot of good memories with family by the fireplace, the kids had space to hang out and play while the adults did their thing in another area. Our host Robert was always available to answer our questions and help out in any way he could. We enjoyed everything and may even look into it for a summertime vacation! Thanks Robert it was great!

Quiet Lake Retreat

Beautiful property on a quiet lake. Great kitchens and family friendly rooms. Kayaks and a fun paddle boat are there to enjoy. A great place for a family vacation!

For several years, our small immediate family of 11 has been holding an annual summer reunion at some very nice properties in special locations such as Jackson Hole, Custer State Park, and Gatlinburg. In August, we chose Blue Haven Pointe. All of us, young and old, felt this was one of the best. We felt privileged to stay there. It is like a very private lodge. The building is older but very well maintained and equipped. It is just as described and pictured. It is very spacious, and ideally located on a private wooded lakefront lot. The orientation to the south with windows on 3 sides allows sunrise and sunset views and all-day sun on the small beach. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings and appreciated the peaceful, remote setting free of any noise of traffic, aircraft, or other distractions. We would highly recommend this property. Wonderful Spot

Our extended family group (18 total, young and old) had a really wonderful week in July at Blue Haven Pointe. We valued the private setting and great space indoors and out. Lake of the Woods is beautiful, quiet, and perfectly-sized. The property's kayaks (x3) and paddleboat saw extensive use, and the littlest ones loved the sand beach. Fire pit and decks and views were terrific. Quibbles are eminently addressable (larger cookware; more bath towels). Rob, the host, was very responsive. Internet bandwidth suboptimal for streaming — but you shouldn't be in front of a screen in such a beautiful setting. We cherished our time there, and would love to return. Heartily recommend. It's a magical place.

We had three families together over New Year’s Eve. 13 people in total. Everyone had a great time. Plenty of beds and room for everyone. The dual living spaces (upstairs and downstairs) created a great way for the kids to feel like they had their “own area”.

Great Weekend Getaway

I brought my entire office staff to this property for a weekend of team building. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious enough for us all to enjoy time together but also be able to have time to our selves as well. The lake and views were beautiful. The host was quick to respond with any issues we had. It was a really great stay.

Ski & Tubing Weekend Stay

We had an awesome experience at this location. The house was clean, cozy, and just as pictured. It's a great size and layout for multiple families and right by Schuss Mountain where we planned to get out and have some winter fun. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions and check in and out was easy. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Winter Wonderland

Robert was a great and accessible manager for this property. We really loved our stay. The road in is quite the trek but worth it in the end when you realize how beautiful your destination is. We found everything very clean and really enjoyed a fire in the fireplace as it was very cold outside. We slept well and the kitchen was very well appointed. The griddle was fun for our breakfast in kitchen number two downstairs and the kids really enjoyed their stay. Kudos!
