Time in Tucson

Great location for us - we had a crying baby next door which made it hard to sleep. We also requested 2 extra towels but then housekeeping took towels when they cleaned the room so we ended up short again - not sure what that was about.

This property was an old-style hotel. They charged $15 to park your own car in their huge suburban (not city-center, urban) lot. The wifi is free for Honors members; others may be charged. Almost every other chain has free wifi. The process to access wifi is convoluted - trying to get you to join HHonors for much of the scroll - and the front desk staff was testy about helping. Given her attitude, it's clear that other guests have had similar issues, so good customer service would not include words like "wrong". Overall, an average experience.

The hotel’s location is great for visiting Saguaro East National Park and exploring the scenic highway. The beds were comfortable, the cleanliness was acceptable, and the staff was friendly. However, the hotel itself is extremely outdated, with furniture, carpets, and decor that appear to be over 40 years old and visibly worn. The glass elevator had broken glass, and we noticed trays with used cups and cutlery sitting in the hallway for three days without being cleaned up. There was no room service, and parking costs an additional $15 per night. The pool water was uncomfortably cold, making it unusable. Additionally, the pictures on Expedia are quite misleading—the hotel does not look nearly as nice in person. Given the condition of the facilities and the level of service, the price is far too high. We’ve experienced significantly better service at other hotels in the same area for a fraction of the cost. Would not recommend unless major renovations are done, or the prices decrease significantly.

This property has shown little to no capital improvements in the 5 years we have been staying there. What happened to Hilton holding franchisees feet to the fire on standards. This stay will be our last.
