Quiet street, nice for walking our dogs. The host was very nice and helpful before checking in. The house couldve been better presented. The bathroom needed curtains, one bedroom needed curtains. The master bedroom needs a newer comforter, it was stained really bad. I washed it and the sheets before we slept on them. The knives are very dull, couldnt even cut a lime. The back step needs replaced, I tripped off the bottom step as it isn't nailed secure. The roof had tree limbs on it.The view of the marsh was nice and we saw lots of different birds.
Communication was great until we had an issue with plumbing. The sink pipes were clogged and began pushing all debris into the bathtub where the only shower is. Contacted rental property on Saturday night. Issue wasnât fixed until Monday near noon. We could not take showers during that time as water would fill up in the bathtub and would not drain. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience. I do understand that this occurred on the weekend, however, a rental property should be able to address this type of issue no matter the day of the week within 24 hours. The house also has significant damage, to the point we took pictures once we arrived so that we would not be held responsible as the damage was there previously. Floors scratched, refrigerator had rust, blinds were broken, tub was chipping, and broken items in the bathroom. I could overlook the damage based on the price per night, but the plumbing issue was a major inconvenience.
My son and I stayed here while he was attending camp at Burton 4H Camp. He is visually impaired and I didn't want him staying on campus. The location is perfect. The house was just enough for the 2 of us.
Tybee is a hoot! This spot is cozy, charming, comfortable and on a quiet street on the marsh side. The communication with owner was great. The house had all items listed in the description-generous with the towels. King size bed was comfortable and can be a rare find on VRBO spots.
The neighbors are friendly -more of a residential street. A healthy walk or fun bike ride to Tybeeâs main business area(pier) but the houses and side streets are charming. There is lots to explore on Tybee if you are so inclined or not ..The marsh side is like secret hideaway. Check out the unique charm of this cozy bungalow and Tybee.. you will be glad you did !
Property was as advertised. Very relaxing, nice neighbors, quiet except for the wildlife which is abundant on the waterway/marsh in the rear of the property. It was probably our favorite part having breakfast on the screened in porch, the view was stunning. We were sorry we had to come home. Nice place to relax and recharge.
