Tybreeze A overall is a nice place to stay on Tybee Island . There was ample room for 4 people. The apartment is a little more aged than the photos show, but it has a nice beachy ambiance .
The kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to prepare food there. Full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker provided. There is a stackable washer/dryer in the kitchen.
There is a television in the front room and one in the main bedroom.
The sofa in the living room is a sleeper sofa, but the sleeper mattress needs to be replaced - it’s more of a torture device than a bed.
There is a clothes line in the small garden area to hang up beach towels and bathing suits.
They provide sheets for each bed and towels for the shower- bring your own beach towels !
Out front is a nice area with the chairs to sit and enjoy the night air ( be wary of the sand gnats though)
The front door is locked with a keypad and as the door is older it was difficult to open every time.
Check in and out was a seamless process- they provide you with the keynote prior to your check in.
Parking is sparse ( room for 1 car- 2 if they are small) out front. No additional parking in the area.
There is a pool but it was too cold to swim.
The owner lives on the top floor of the building- very pleasant gentleman.
The location of the apartment in relation to the beach is fabulous- a very walkable distance . Maybe 1/4 miles to the beach.
The location to local restaurants and shops is also walkable.
