Sraff was not helpful. Room was old and smelled musty. Bed was horribly uneven. Carpet was filthy. I called the front desk because a lightbulb was burned out and i was put on hold for10 minutes. Twice. When i finally got through, they said someone would be up. No one came up the entire time. I was there. I stayed at this same hotel 9 years ago. I will not go back again. Suoer disappointed.

The property itself is beautiful and well kept, however the staff were considerable rude, our rooms were seperated, the hotel lacked food options, one of our rooms was barely cleaned, our rooms weren't ready upon arrival and ultimately we felt it was underwhelming and overpriced with additional charges for what we were already spending to stay there. While we loved the lagoon and the beauty of the property, we would not stay again due to the amentities and staff.

The view from the balcony was incredible. We had an oceanfront room reserved. Breakfast was limited to a small breakfast burrito, cheese biscuit, etc. It was not a full breakfast. The type of breakfast purchased from a Starbucks. Room was relatively clean, but carpet was worn and outdated. Plumbing was not good. Water backed up. We, customers, should be allowed to use a room where bathroom water backs up. We are paying a lot of money to rent from this property. I am also own a Hilton timeshare and sad to see the condition of this room. My son and his wife rented a suite and it was extremely nice with updated equipment. I have videos of the water backing up. The front office quickly addressed the problem. We should not be subject to these subpar conditions when reserving from a Hilton property. Disappointed Hilton time share owner and exclusive preferred Hilton hotel user. BTW - I did not use my timeshare points on this trip; however, made 2 separate reservations.

The resort was overbooked and so they could not place me in my reserved room. They had to put me in a different location. Although this was a major inconvenience the staff were very apologetic so much so they personally escorted me to my room in a golf cart. I'm on vacation and try not to cry over spilled milk, but you don't want these types of experiences to ruin your vacation.

The staff was very unhelpful (besides the maintenance staff). Concierge just wanted to sell luau tickets instead of actually helping. I ended up booking all of the activities on my own. Golf and dolphin quest were fantastic, just book it yourself to save the hassle of using the “concierge.” Front desk and guest service agents knew nothing about the property and amenities other than that it was 62 acres, which became problematic when the tram was out multiple times and you have to walk all the way across the resort and back which takes 45 minutes (ocean tower to Kona pool) to get a snack. Room service is only 5pm-9pm and it’s only over priced Italian food (spaghetti and meatballs $45, small pepperoni pizza $38). The lack of dining options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night, was a major issue. It was such a shame because the property itself is beautiful but the lackluster service and lack of dining options guaranteed I will not return. Stay somewhere else with more/better dining, and a beach.

Unfortunately, during the first part of my stay, I noticed that the Hilton posted a pending charge to my card for the amount that I had already paid Expedia for (I had prepaid a large portion of my stay to Expedia). Concerned that I was being double-charged, I went to the Front Desk and showed the clerk the Expedia receipt and the response was that it was a problem between me and Expedia. I demanded to know if Expedia had made any advance payment to Hilton as my receipt suggested. I got no answer and she called the manager. A few hours later, she informed me that the manager said the pending charge for the amount of what I had already paid Expedia for was taken off. I checked my credit card transactions and the amount that I had prepaid Expedia was taken off. Inexplicably, two days later, the amount that I paid Expedia was once again posted on my credit card transactions. At that point, I decided not to worry about it until after my vacation. About 4 days after I checked out of the Hilton, the charge for the prepaid amount that I had paid Expedia was removed from my credit card and the final amount charged by the Hilton reflected what I owed it. I’ve been a long time user of Expedia and this is the first time that this strange billing has ever happened. I’m disappointed with both Expedia and Hilton. I assume Expedia refers many customers to the Hilton chain. Please communicate with each other about billing practices and inform customers about what to expect.

The room was great - beautiful view and cleaned daily. The monorail broke down a few times and was very slow. Restaurants were few and closed early. Only 1 breakfast place and the buffet was way over priced for options/quality. The coffee shops were always lined up as there was only 2 for the whole resort. For a resort - they lacked enough water rentals amenities and activities.
