This top floor corner unit offers amazing ocean views!! Enjoy radiant sunsets from your private lanai overlooking Ma'alaea Bay. Light and bright as you enter, this beautifully designed 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit features fresh paint and new wood flooring throughout. The primary bedroom offers an adjustable Tempur-Pedic Cal King bed that allows each side to individually raise and lower the head and foot of the bed. Choose your personal comfort level, open the primary lanai doors and lay back and listen to the ocean waves roll in. New split AC offered for those warmer Summer nights.For convenience, both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with porcelain-tiled walk-in showers. The guest room has a brand new plush queen bed and jalousie windows that easily allow the cooling Tradewinds in. Moving to the glorious living area, the view is phenomenal! You may find yourself wanting to use the queen sleeper sofa just to be able to soak it all in a little longer.
When you get tired of looking at the ocean, there is a large flat screen TV so you can catch up on your favorite shows. The condo is loaded with all the comforts of home including new ductless air conditioning in the living room and primary, high speed internet and a fully stocked kitchen with stone countertops. To make your stay even easier, there is a full sized washer and dryer, a supply of beach towels and even beach chairs. Enjoy a great night's sleep in this spacious 2 bedroom after an adventurous day on Maui!Island Sands is located in the heart of Maui near Ma'alaea Harbor and is the perfect starting point for exploring the island. The location was good. I would say really look at the pictures on line. We had no place to eat our meals. The two bar stools they had one was broken. For the charge of cleaning it should have been cleaner.

Relaxing

We spent a lot of time on the balconies. The trees blocked the view some but it was still beautiful.The length of time of the construction was a little deceiving. Because of the holidays we couldn’t get to the other side of the property where the turtle beach was because the construction company had it blocked off. We couldn’t get anybody to open up the gate on the north which gave us the only access to the turtle beach. That little beach was one of the selling points.We had problems with flooding of the living room air-conditioning three times. It might be something you really need to look into. The only suggestions I would have is bath mats and better outdoor chairs for the beach. One side of the bed didn’t go up and down, and we couldn’t figure out how to turn off the fan.The two bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us.

Overall I liked the property. There were a few issues with cleanliness ( stain on towel/ sheet/ strange smell in some rooms) but overall space was great for a family of 5. Other than minor issues, it was extremely windy part of the island. May be it was just that time of visiting? Would recommend with above caveats

Winter getaway in Maui!

The condo was clean and well equipped for our stay. We had beach chairs we could use as well as beach towels, ice packs and a cooler! The swimming pool on the property was clean and very well maintained with BBQ grills available for use. The condo had a great view of the pool and the ocean, and it was awesome to have breakfast on the patio and whale watch. Overall it was a very positive experience, with a nice public beach as well as the Aquarium, and a terrific restaurant and shopping all within easy walking distance. The evenings were quiet and we never really heard any noise from the neighbors. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful Sunsets

The view of the ocean with the swaying palm trees was breathtaking. The condo was very clean. We like the location ; the less congested area. The Seascape and Point Break are excellent restaurants in the area.

Great location!

This property is truly such a great location. Comfortable beds, good space, lovely having two bathrooms and comfortable patio chairs to watch the waves. My only complaint would be that there wasn’t a knife bigger than a steak knife so cutting my pineapple was more challenging than it should have been. I would also suggest to the company to replace the “cutting boards” and sautee pans as they were on their last legs probably years ago.

Great location in a well kept condo

This two bedroom condo worked well for husband and me and his mom. Be aware that the bathroom is not attached to the master bedroom however; we used command hooks to hang a shower curtain across the doorway. Could have used a laundry basket and a few other little items in the kitchen but overall well equipped. Beds were super comfy! (Same as we have at home). Master bedroom bed is adjustable so nice to raise up for reading. Lovely location centrally located to all things on Maui. Pool was heated but not overly so; it was refreshing.

My family of five really enjoyed our stay here. The view from our unit was beautiful. The unit was conveniently equipped with all sorts of amenities. The king sized bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. It was great having a designated parking space. Overall this place exceeded our expectations. Fine overall - though could use some love and attention

Overall, the place was fine, though I doubt we would re-book this specific condo. We've been to Maui a number of times, usually staying north. This time we didn't stay for very long and I wanted to avoid traffic that can occur from Maalaea to Lahaina. Maalaea is convenient to both south and north - Kihei, Kamaole as well as to Lahaina. The area is reasonably close to the airport and the services the east side of the island as well. The national park to the south is not a bad drive. Also trim some time off going to Haleakala for the sunrise . The Maui Ocean Center is really close by (could walk). The downside is that you don't get true sunrises or sunsets (at least we didn't) as the mountains on either side obscure these events. The upside - TONS of whales breaching and swimming in the bay - TONS. Small area to access the bay at the back of the condo complex. BBQ outside, hose in parking lot to rinse gear/stuff. Overall flow - fine. There are two rooms with two 3/4 baths. The main bedroom was separated by a movable wall/screen that provide privacy. There was air conditioning in all rooms. There was a main sitting area with 2 couches and a TV. Balcony had the only table to sit at to eat. Inside there are bar counter type seating. Kitchen with fridge/basic pots/pans/utensils. The condo had a small gift basket of coffee and other treats that we welcomed. The kitchen overall was clean. We felt that the place could use some TLC and didn't have the most welcoming vibe. The artwork from in the second bedroom had come off the wall and was in the closet. There was a build up of dust along the dust boards and in the corners dirt/dust had built up giving a sense that good thorough cleaning had not been done. Good wall repair and fresh paint would help. We found old food caked on some of the dishware are ended up rewashing the dishes prior to using them. The vibe was one where I thought this place is being managed for profit. They provided an exact number of trash bags, dishwasher soap, paper towels, that they felt you would need. The toilet paper felt similar to the most inexpensive one could buy on a commercial scale. Kitchen supplies -salt, pepper and that's it. No oil, spices or anything else someone might use. It's a bare kitchen. If you want to cook - suggest you bring everything you might want or be prepared to buy it. There was 1 large and one small cooler. They had 4 beach blankets and chairs.

Scenic view

Was beautiful decorated condo. Refreshing with a great view high up. Condo had all the necessities especially beach towels and chairs. Location is great a short walk to the beach , shops and restaurant. We especially enjoy the 5 mile sandy beach walk every morning. Only down fall was the wind. Was very windy most of the time and we like to have windows open so there was quite a wind tunnel. So if you done want fresh air and wind noise close the windows and turn on the air conditioner!

Fantastic location, beautiful unit, great view

Very much enjoyed having a full kitchen to make the occasional breakfast or dinner when we just wanted to relax. Also very close to snorkeling tours at the harbor. Easy pickup for Haleakala. Nice little pool as well. One of the gas grills was not working - that would be my only complaint.
