Ocean Front with Spectacular View

Charming, third floor, non-smoking apartment with panoramic view from kitchen, living room and balcony. Tasteful decor and tile floors create a pleasant and warm home, with new kitchen cabinets and granite counters. You can watch whales during winter from the private balcony and enjoy the incredible view of the protected bay and neighboring islands all year round. People who have stayed here have come back over and over again.

Maalaea is central to the island's many attractions. 20 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes to Lahaina, Kahului and the North Shore with it's many windsurfing locations. Shopping is about 20 minutes by car and restaurants are in 5 minutes walking distance. 5 minutes walk in one direction brings you to Maalea's yacht harbor with a small shopping mall and the well known Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium). 5 minutes walk the other direction will bring you to a 2 mile long sandy beach.

The perfect winter respite! So much to do and see on this beautiful island but the simple things are still the best - gorgeous sunrises, sounds of the surf, long walks on the beach, whale watching from the lanai, warm golden days, star-studded nights, and even a full moon shimmering all the way across Maalea Bay. Knowing that we were missing Portland's third ice storm this winter made us appreciate our stay here even more.

Location agréable

L'appartement est parfaitement bien conçu, confortable, avec une magnifique vue sur l'océan. Le seul petit reproche est qu'il faut prendre sa voiture pour aller faire des courses ou manger car aucun commerce à côté.

Great Maui Vacation Rental

Lovely condo with a beautiful view! Convenient location from which to explore the island. Condo was fully stocked with everything we needed including pots & pans, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. I would certainly stay at this condo again next time I visit Maui.

Small Cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom

We stayed for 9 nights and the view was very spectacular and beautiful. The house wasn't clean and dust was in every stuff (living room, bedroom, etc) and in the kitchen floor. The worst part was having small cockroaches moving around on the cabinets, drawers, counter, and in the bathroom floor. Every time, I wanted to grab cups, spoons and etc saw small cockroaches and we had to wash utensil before using them. I let the manager knew and they just place some bait in the kitchen but it didn't work and we saw those cockroaches until the last day of the stay. Additionally, The bathtub stopper wasn't hold the water in the bathtub and we let them know and didn't fix it and seemed didn't care.

Overall, great. Only problems were the kitchen faucet is a leaky piece of crap. The glass louvers in the bedroom window do not seal and the wind whistles through them all night at a high volume. We were very happy with our stay otherwise.

Relaxing Vacation

This condo has an amazing view. You feel as if you are on a boat. The wind was wild at times, but I love the wind, and you never need to turn the air conditioning on. The one thing g that could have made it more convenient was a shopping cart for groceries going up the elevator. It is quite a task to take up a lot of groceries. Thanks for the stay in your wonderful condo.

Turtles on the Beach!!

We have stayed at the Island Sands many times over the years. To us there is no better place. IS310 was no exception, great views, clean, well stocked and quiet. There were turtles on the little beach every day. One day there was five on the beach. What a great place!! Thank you for your hospitality We will be back!!

Check in was super easy. Unit had everything we needed and a spectacular view. We loved watching the turtles swimming from the deck. In the evening's turtles would come out of the water to rest for the evening on the small section of sandy Beach.

35 Wedding Anniversary

This place is the very best. We set on the lanai everyday, watched turtles, drank coffee and soaked up the ocean views. The condo was furnished well and we found in our 17 day stay that we had all the amenities necessary to have a fabulous time. We walked on the beach and played in the ocean..We are arranging our schedule to book this condo again In 2025

Beautiful condo middle of the island with turtle and water views

The condo was more spacious than it seemed in the pictures. Loved having the washer/dryer. The views were relaxing and we enjoyed watching the turtles from our lanai. The cold filtered water was appreciated. The bed was comfortable and guaranteed parking was a plus. When I had a question about the property the owner was quick to respond. We had a pleasant stay.

Perfect spot

Maalea is the best place to stay in Maui's dry coast. Quiet, with little traffic and stunning views of Haleakala. Among the condo buildings in the area, Island Sands has always been one of our favorites. We now discovered yet another unit in the building that we can wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you!

Wonderful views!

The condo is located in an area that doesn't have many amenities (grocery stores, restaurants) but it is very convenient for getting to all parts of the island. The benefit of being in a small community is that it doesn't feel touristy at all. There is a wonderful beach park just at the end of the street which even has snorkeling opportunities.The views from the condo and lanai, day and night, are wonderful and we really enjoyed watching the sea turtle swimming in the bay just in front of the condo. The condo is an older unit and isn't as large as I thought (there is a mirrored wall in the living area which makes it appear larger in photos). However, we felt the views and location made up for that. If you're a light sleeper the sound of the wind whipping around the condo building may be an issue. It was also great to have a washer and dryer in the unit as it meant we could pack light.

We loved our little vacation and being able to sit on the balcony each morning and night and listen to the waves was just wonderful. Yes the condo is a little older but it has everything you need to enjoy your stay. I really appreciated having the washer and dryer!

Great location; amazing morning coffee views

My husband and I stayed in this property ten days on a 30th anniversary celebration trip. The biggest pluses are the location, the beautiful lanai views and the beach and shops in walking distance. Also, the beach umbrella, beach chairs, cooler and beach towels were a huge plus! I was a little hesitant about the lack of Ac in the bedroom but their was actually quite a breeze at night. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing view and great facilities

Lovely unit with a great layout. Good amenities in the kitchen. Unit was clean. Main bed was comfortable. Window in bedroom does whistle/howl with high winds at night. We ended up making up the pullout bed from the couch as we are light sleepers. Will be back - highly recommend.

Perfect Spot on the Water

The views were priceless, the location was perfect for us and the unit had everything we needed for 2 adults. I would definitely stay here again if it was just my husband and me returning. The only tiny hiccup was the arrival paperwork and check in paperwork from the management company had different parking space numbers. The owner quickly cleared that up when I reached out to her.

Wonderful gateway

Property was very clean and has great location, excellent views, closed to everything. We enjoyed to watch sun rise every morning, listening the amazing waves, it was speachless.
