No better place on god's earth when the sun shines

3 nights and sunny during the day. I could quite happily not gone anywhere and just sat watching the river. Breakfast very good. No draught bitter in bar but rough it with bottle's of speckled hen.

Review:This hotel boasts a beautiful riverside location and offers a warm welcome, with friendly staff who were particularly helpful in resolving issues I encountered. My room was clean, and the bathroom was pleasant. The weather was warm, and the room was equipped with a fan. I had a comfortable night's sleep in the bed. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a good quality buffet with a variety of juices, cereals, and breads, along with a cooked selection and great-tasting coffee.However, the hotel is showing its age and could benefit from a refurbishment. The carpets are worn, and the doors lacked proper handles. While the location and staff were definite positives, a general update is needed to bring the hotel up to modern standards.

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Room 38 was clean and a good size. Shower great, water always hot. Food and drink was of good quality. Pleasant staff. Check in easy. Hotel being updated so communal areas a bit tired. Nevertheless, we would stay here again

Have stayed here a few times now when working in the area, rooms have been really clean and comfortable. Food in bar area has been fantastic. Friendly team of staff from reception to breakfast in the morning the cherry on top as a lovely team

Service is very friendly and food is good. I had a decent room, very affordable and in good condition. However, I stayed during a raining episode though and in a room directly under the roof. I had rats running like crazy most night and they were very load (maybe chased) kept me up most of the night. I usually like this hotel, bit this happened the last night of my stay and it probably won't make me come back.
