Beloved family home in Boothbay Harbor!
Stuart Little is a wonderful place to slow down and just breathe and the perfect place for making summer memories. The bright and spacious living/dining room offers plenty of seating and is an excellent place to gather. The large well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher makes for easy meal preparation. This cottage has a regular drip coffee maker. There is a 3/4 bathroom located on the first floor off of the kitchen. Bedrooms are all located on the second floor as well as a full bathroom with a claw-foot tub. An enclosed back porch makes for a perfect quiet afternoon reading spot. The covered front porch with both water and garden views is an enchanting place to enjoy a cocktail or read a good book.
It`s a one-minute walk down a stone step path and across the field to the beach where you can revel in sea glass hunting or enjoy a swim out to the community float. There are four beautiful association clay tennis courts as well that are available for use with a fee. The nearby Community House is a hub for kids to meet with ping pong and board games - a fun step back in time. There`s certainly something special about summer coastal communities in Maine.
The Maine State Aquarium is a 15-minute walk down the road and a delightful place to explore with a 10` touch tank. Walk around to the back and discover a great fishing pier for your use. Downtown Boothbay Harbor is a quick 2 miles away.
Parking is available on site for 3 cars and it`s a 5-minute drive to town.

Perfect weekend in the most perfect house. Loved the location with a pathway right to the beach and great views of the sunset from the porch. Close to town. Would love to come back!
We had children and grandchildren all coming from out of state and the property was perfect for us! The grandchildren were young but all seemed to like the "bunkroom". Views were beautiful and the beach access was great. We would stay here again for sure!
Cozy and charming. The cabin is in a nice
Location. We were here in Sept and it was a little cold so no water sports (it looks like a great place for that). Wendy is great and easy to communicate with.
We had an amazing time celebrating my mom's 60th birthday at the Stuart Little cottage. It brought back so many memories of my own childhood in Boothbay Harbor and I know my parents will cherish the new memories we made with my small nephews.
The cottage was in a gorgeous and quiet neighborhood overlooking the water. We met a few neighbors who were so friendly and welcoming and gave us great pointers about where to go during our stay.
I wouldn't consider it super walkable to downtown, especially with the little ones as it was off a main road, but it was a very quick drive to the heart of Boothbay.
The house was fully stocked with many amenities I hadn't even expected. The washer and dryer were especially awesome. Judy was exceptionally helpful during check-in and helped us locate everything we needed to get comfortable. I hope they will have us back for many summers to come!
We had a lovely time in Maine. The area around the home is absolutely breathtaking. However, the home could have been better. The beds were quite comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped but the living area was awful. There was no comfortable seating in the living room. The dining table was so wobbly that we couldn't use it to eat at. The outdoor furniture is in bad shape including another wobbly table and chairs. There could have been more towels for showering instead of having to do laundry every other day and lastly there was a wasp nest nearby. They were swarming around the deck and several got in the house. My daughter and my grandson were both stung. I give it a 4 out of 10. Best part was the view
