Picture ten of your favorite people scattered across three decks while steam rises off two hot tubs and the Glacier peaks glow gold behind the pines. Someone's already down in the game room chasing a high score. Someone else just poured coffee and hasn't said a word in twenty minutes. This is Soaring Eagle Lodge — a freshly reimagined $1.1M Montana mansion built for the trips your family will actually talk about for years, five minutes from downtown Whitefish.
ABOUT THIS SPACE
We went $800k over budget on this renovation because "good enough" wasn't the goal. Five bedrooms and five bathrooms sleep up to 10 across king beds, a Pine Room designed to feel like you're bunking in the middle of a forest, and a primary suite guests describe as "the hardest place to leave all weekend."
The great room is the heart of it — soaring ceilings, a wall of windows pulling the mountains into the house, and a stone fireplace that pulls everyone to the couch by nine. The kitchen was built for a crowd: a massive island for coffee and conversation, restored vintage milkshake machines from the 1900s, and a dining table with a mountain view over every meal.
Downstairs, the custom game room is where the kids disappear first — arcade cabinets, Pop-A-Shot, shuffleboard, and a glow-in-the-dark design carried over from our own mini-golf business. Next door, the 12-seat theater turns movie night into an event.
Step outside for the real magic: two hot tubs facing the Glacier peaks, an 8-person basement sauna, and a 4-person cedar barrel sauna on the back deck. The outdoor kitchen has a grill and a full meat smoker for legendary Montana cookouts, plus a fire pit where nights end with everyone staying outside a little longer than planned.
The primary suite has its own coffee bar, a soaking tub angled at the peaks, an oversized walk-in shower, and a glam room with a mirror Brea calls "a little bit royal." Down the hall, a kids' playroom is stocked with toys for ages 0–10, a pack 'n play, and a high chair. A dedicated workspace, central heat and air, and room-darkening shades round out a house built so every generation has somewhere to land.
WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR
- **Multigenerational family reunions.** Five bedrooms and multiple living spaces mean grandparents can nap while the cousins take over the game room. - **Ski and snowboard crews.** Fifteen minutes from Whitefish Mountain Resort, with room to dry gear and soak sore legs in the hot tub after. - **Milestone birthdays and reunions.** The great room, dining table, and deck hold a crowd comfortably for toasts and big dinners. - **Wedding parties and guests.** Whitefish Peaks, our on-site wedding venue, sits next door (booked separately) — a natural home base before and after the big day. - **Remote-work-and-play groups.** A dedicated workspace and strong Wi-Fi mean someone can take a call while everyone else hits the slopes.
PARKING
Free parking is included right on the property, with driveway space for several vehicles — plenty of room for multiple cars, trucks hauling ski or bike gear, and visitors stopping by. Parking is open and unassigned, so just pull in and unload. Winters bring snow, so allow a few extra minutes and drive gently on the approach.
HOUSE RULES
We treat this house like a family home, and we ask guests to do the same.
- No smoking inside the house or on the decks/patios. Violations carry a $750 ozone/deep-cleaning fee. - Checkout is 10:00 AM. Late checkouts are billed at $100 per 25-minute increment past that time. - No pets, please — we love them too, but the house isn't set up for them. - You'll be charged for any items broken or missing, so please treat everything with care.
Hot tub rules, for everyone's safety: guests must be 18+ to enter, shower before getting in, and skip sunscreen, lotion, or self-tanner beforehand. No glass in or around the tub, no lifeguard. Turn off lights and clip the cover shut when finished — an unsecured lid can blow off in Montana wind. If the tub must be drained and cleaned due to a rule violation, a $250 fee applies.

Soaring Eagle Lodge in an incredible place! The house is gorgeous and there is plenty of room for a large family or group. The kids absolutely loved the game and movie rooms which came in handy on the days when unfortunately the smoke from recent fires was bad or it was raining. The house is pristine and well stocked, the only thing we would have liked was some starter paper towels and tissues for the week. We loved Whitefish and GNP and hope to come back someday!
The property is a gem, ample bedrooms with comfortable beds and private TVs and Mountain views in most. Serene view that greets you each day, with plenty of privacy. We spent a week here with 8 adults and 2 kids, enjoying everything the property has from the milkshakes to the barrel sauna.Amenities galore - stadium seated movie theater, game room with basketball, shuffleboard, foosball and arcade games. Kids and adults had a blast there. It’s well stocked with lots of surprises and is central and convenient to the airport, Whitefish, Kalispell and (most importantly) Glacier Park,Bill jumped on a minor issue and couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating.Top property that’s worth the price for a priceless experience.
