There was an issue with my credit card at check in. Eventhough the room was paid for, they wouldn't let us check in. They would not exept any other form of payment. So we drove 4 hours for nothing. Very disappointed. Had to drive 4 hours back home in the middle of the night. Waste of time

After missing my last train, I decided to book this hotel through Expedia. I booked and paid in full online with my visa debit. Shortly after I arrived at the front desk to check into my fully paid for room. The only thing left is to leave $100.00 deposit. I offer cash or visa debit. To which I am told deposit can ONLY be major credit card. No other options! I offered cash in excess of the $100 dollar requirement, I just wanted to sleep in the room that had already been paid for debited from my account. Not only was my reservation not honored, my payment was not returned. I stll had to find a hotel after midnight in an unknown city! NOT ACCEPTABLE! EXPEDIA THIS WONT BE THE FIRST TIME YOU HAVE ROBBED ME BUT IT IS THE LAST! BEST WESTERN< DO BETTER! DISGUSTED!

Not happy with parking descriptions

The hotel is clean & ideally placed the only downside is the extra fee for parking which is in a multi story park behind the hotel across the street. I can’t remember the price but all hotels need to be more transparent with parking descriptions. I’ve started looking on google earth to check if there is land for cars around hotels now before I book if there isn’t you can almost guarantee extra charges for the privilege to park.

Good room with a great view

The room was good with an amazing view. Its located by the river, so you're able to enjoy the Riverwalk. There are a few restaurants near by in walking distance.

The sink was cracked in several places and the toilet didn’t flush properly. We had to lift the lid on the toilet tank a few times to adjust the mechanism inside so the water would stop running.
