Storybook Chalet inside Yosemite National Park

The Cedar Chalet is located inside Yosemite National Park in a small private development called Yosemite West. When staying at the Chalet you do not need a separate entrance reservation to the park that are required for other park visitors. The home is centrally located to all of the Park's major attractions. Yosemite Valley is 20 minutes away - Glacier Point is 25-30 minutes - The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia Trees is 35 minutes and Badger Pass Ski Resort (renowned for it's ski school for young skiers) is located 8 miles away. The home has all of the amenities you'd want in a vacation getaway - Satellite TV, Pool Table, a Sauna and an outdoor Spa that's perfect after a day of hiking!. The Chalet sleeps up to 10 people in 3 bedrooms, a loft with 2 queen size aero beds and a sofa bed. The beds all feature pillow top mattresses & down comforters for the perfect night's sleep. Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Wash used towels and place in the dryer. Start dryer. (You may skip towel washing if you are leaving early and text owner so that housekeeper can arrive early to do them)
Take all trash with you. There is no trash can at the property as it attracts bears. Dumpsters are available in the Bridal Veil Falls parking lot and behind Wawona Store if you are leaving via Hwy 41
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We really enjoyed our stay. Amazing location - close to tunnel view! Enjoyed the pool table and jacuzzi. We cooked our meals, so we especially appreciated the gas stove in the kitchen! Would definitely stay again!

Yosemite west is a phenomenal place to stay in the park- roughly 25 -30 min drive to the valley floor. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood but it is at a high elevation, which can impact cooking . The place was clean , but dated . The pool table was a hit with our family. Pots and pans were scratched with teflon, so I would recommend bringing your own if possible. No ice maker in the fridge so bring your own ice if you need it. No kettle available at the time but there were coffee makers . It was nice that there were some spices available as well. The outdoor grill worked well and propane was supplied by the owner. The place worked well for our group which was 2 families. Two rooms were next to each other downstairs along with a full bathroom. Upstairs there was a king bed and full bathroom and a sauna that got warm but not super hot. It was difficult at times to plug in our devices in the plugs were loose and would just fall out . Other than that great stay!!

The place could use a little bit of renovating but it was clean and worked for our family of seven (5 adults, 2 kids, and a dog). The location was perfect being inside the park. I would warn that the driveway is steep. Both of our cars would scraped at the end of the driveway. Overall we had a great time and would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay Jan 1-4 as we kicked off the New Year and celebrated a birthday. The cabin is nestled in a quiet location and a short drive to the Yosemite Valley Tunnel View. The rooms were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. I appreciated the ceiling fans and free standing fan as I get overheated while sleeping… even in winter. The fireplace was easy to operate and there was dry wood under the porch. Our teen boys stayed off their screens because of the pool table, yay. The water pressure and temperature in the shower were perfect and the kitchen appliances all worked great. We enjoyed the expansive windows and comfortable sofas. Highly recommend the Storybook Chalet!

The house was beautiful, clean and very welcoming with the bonus of having extras like coffee, condiments, etc, which is so nice if you forgot to pack something. Jacuzzi was on and the sauna was lovely. Great way to start our vacation.
