This newer hotel is very near the Avignon TGV train station, but not much else. There may be bus service into the Old Town (“inside the wall”), but we didn’t have easy information about it so we took Bolt ride shares into town for dining, etc. Restaurant is average for food quality and the staff ...

Mercure Avignon Centre Palais des Papes
Breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel was excellent too. But, it is necessary to inform the guests that it is not easy to bring the luggage to the hotel individually. in my case, police officers gladly helped me to drive to the hotel.
