Very good

Casa Caprile it’s located in Anacapri just 70 steps down from the bus stop ( I wish I know this before booking) because I’m traveling with my 83 years old mom so I’m carrying 2 luggage and my mom can’t really go up and down stairs easily.
Otherwise it’s a beautiful building with very comfortable rooms, located in a beautiful area.
The plus plus was the attentive employees, every single one was amazing form the front desk to the cleaning lady and the gentleman in charge of the breakfast BRAVO AND THANK YOU.

Beautiful environment. Nice big rooms. Good staff. Nice simple breakfasts.
Major problem was no publicity about the about of steps down to
& up from the hotel everytime we wanted to go anywhere. Elderly or those with mobility difficulties need to be informed of these steps— even to get to the bathroom!!!! Sorry, but at my age, I would NEVER choose this place again. If you are young & fit, it would be delightful.

Adequate Accomodations
The hotel was cute but out of the way and no A/C but hotel did provide a second fan for our comfort. TV was not great and shower was small but we got a good price so expectations were met. Very nice staff! Would recommend to budget travelers.
Lovley stay staff were super friendly. Only trouble we had was the steps to the hotel but it wasn’t a big issue for us.

Hotel was most likely renovated 25-30 years ago, bathrooms are very old - tile is broken and water is not draining away properly, textile decoration in the room feel really outdated.
However this is a good hotel for the price - nice terraces outside rooms to enjoy a quite evening surrounded by beautiful nature and nice location - 15 min walk to Anacapri centre and 20 to Villa San Michelle
What I didn't like was that we were asked by the receptionist to leave our passports with her for few hours. Other thing is that the wifi was only in the canteen room- nowhere else. We got the room that wasn't refurbrished probably for the last 20 years- mould on walls in the bathroom, holes on the walls, no paint in some bits. All the furniture were old and dusty- epecially curtains and lamp covers that were covered with a 1cm layer of dust and was splashed with paint. Receptionist served coffees during the breakfast- she prioritized people speaking her language no matter if they put the order as the last ones in the queue. She was also kinder for Italians than for the forigners. Would never come back there, don't recommend.
The staff were lovely, the hotel was as I’d seen on the website. The steps from the square were a shocker and not fun with a heavy suitcase.

Nice place, but needs some repair
Casa Caprile is at a good place, right next to the city centre of Anacapri. It has a fantastic garden and if you get a room outside of the main building, it also comes with a small private terrace. However the room would definitely need some serious repairs. The wall in the bathroom was massively mouldy and even in the bedroom you could see that there must be some leakage on the roof, as at some places the ceiling was flaking or already has been fallen in pieces.
Fortunately the room otherwise was clean (including the sheets and towels). The breakfast was the usual Italian style - lot of sweets and yoghurts. Overall not a bad choice for relatively good price (compared to the average in Capri).
Hotel is ok. Very hard to get to from the bus stop in plaza Victoria. GPS sends you through the road witch is not correct because it is easier through the narrow streets from plaza Caprile. There is a sign in Plaza Caprile about the hotel.
Check in was easy with one of the staff members. Most of the staff was helpful and nice, however one morning my husband and I asked the front desk woman if she could help us buy tickets for the blue grotto online (we had the site up on my phone so it was obvious there was a site that allowed this to be done), but she simply said "They don't like when you buy tickets online so just go there and buy them". It seemed like an answer you'd give to avoid helping someone. We weren't able to even buy tickets at the blue grotto because there was such a huge line, that's why we wanted to do it online. That was the only bad staff experience we had. Other than that, the hotel room was pleasant. There was no AC and only a small fan for the entire room. We couldn't leave the window open at night due to mosquitoes getting in, so needless to say we were hot. Breakfast was a nice bonus, and included coffee, croissants, and cereals. One inconvenient thing, was that there is WiFi but it is only available in their lounge. So anytime I wanted to get a hold of my family back home I had to get dressed and go downstairs to use the internet. We did not know this until we arrived, so it would have been nice to know ahead of time.
Despite its beautiful exteriors, our stay was not very pleasant at all. We were placed in a room with no windows, no view, and no air conditioner. (Which wasn’t very nice in the summer heat). The staff were sort of friendly..however the breakfast was extremely limited in options. The amount we paid for one night was not worth it one cent. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Casa Caprile and would recommend it to others planning to stay on Anacapri. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating to us and check-in was quick and easy. Some perks of this location - beautiful views from the rooms and terrace, great breakfast in the morning, and unique decor. The biggest thing to be aware of is some of the limitations of the location - the hotel is a 15-20 minute taxi or bus ride up the bluffs into the center of the island - you might be able to walk from the ferry, but it would take quite a while (hours) and is all uphill on roads not meant for pedestrians. The entrance to the hotel is down a number of steps, and would not be easily accessible for someone with disabilities or difficulty walking. The location is nearby a number of restaurants and shops, but is not overly touristy. We had a lovely one-night stay but could easily have stayed for a few more days!

Nice hotel
This hotel has a regal history. It was built for Queen Victoria of Sweden in 1907. It still has an air of its original purpose in housing royalty, with marble stairs and high ceilings. The house is easy to locate if you ask the locals, they all know about it. There are several ceramic tiles along the path leading out of the square, which are great for getting you to the front door. The staff is nice. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is good.
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Caprile. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room had a balcony with a fantastic view. Breakfast was basic. Take note that there is not a road that goes in front of the hotel. This makes it peaceful, but the drawback is that you need to walk down several sets of stairs from the Piazza Caprile to the hotel with your luggage to get to the hotel. That wasn't a big issue for us but it would be if you have any mobility issues. You have to walk back up the steps to get back to Anacapri for the bus, shopping, restaurants, etc.
Casa Caprile is a gem of a hotel on the beautiful Anacapri side of the island. We had a large beautiful room that included a private patio and a view of the garden. The breakfast was generous with filled croissants, yogurt and cappuccinos.
