My stay at Rayland Motel was generally a good experience. The room was comfortable, and the overall service met expectations. However, there were a few maintenance issues that could be improved. The toilet was not flushing properly, there was no hand wash provided, and the kitchen lights stopped working during our stay. Addressing these small issues would make the experience even better.

Only really used it to sleep, beds were comfortable and heat pump worked. There is noise from the motorway ramps as to be expected and the place is a bit rundown and tired but you get what you pay for I guess.

Great location for access to South Auckland and motorways, a very easy walk to the Westfield Manukau. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Young kids loved the stairs and the windows down to the main area, from the bedroom upstairs. We popped the single mattress from downstairs into the upstairs room, to sleep all four of us in the one space. Toilets took a few flushes to completely clear, which was a little unnerving but okay. We also popped a little paper in some of the road-facing windows, just to get a better seal from the road noise - others might not be bothered by the noise though. Staff were awesome and so willing to help. Overall, we enjoyed our two nights stay here. It was a good base for our activities.
We nabbed the downstairs mattress to sleep two adults and two younger children in the upstairs room.

Great staff who very helpful at check in. We had the family room which kids like. Room had 2 air cons so was warm. And great shower and great daily service. Beds are comfortable and clean. The building is old and so are the rooms. The sofa was delaminated, the TV had no sky, and no WiFi or Internet connection. And the room table had no power points neareby. And no power point near the downstairs bed. I had to buy a 5m extension cord to power the computer. And no hot choc sachets for the kids. Got the tea and coffee but no hot choc.

Very basic accommodation. Although fairly clean the sheets felt wet so unable to sleep at night. A water jug would be great to make a cup of coffee after a long journey. Wouldnt book again

This is our second stay here this year. We love the location close to the motorway. The family unit is great because there are beds and a toilet upstairs, and another bed with bathroom downstairs. So the kids feel like they have their own independent area. We did hear a bit of noise from the adjoining room this time, but overall it’s reasonably quiet.

Staff were lovely and super helpful and kind!! Room didn't have spare pillows or extra blankets. While there was a heat pump, it was cold night and this didn't necessary heat the room quickly or overly. Good for a quick overnight stay to crash.

It was a good value . The staff were helpful and the room and kitchenette were big and spacious. Design is outdate d and the furniture needs replacement as some were broken. The dryer was not working.. but accepting coins. Very close to activities like Botanical Garden near by
